<p>This is an unpaid internship. Candidate will be selected in April.</p> <p>The Community Oral Health Program delivers on-site dental services to schoolchildren and high-need community members, focusing on disease prevention and reducing transportation barriers in alignment with Public Health 3.0 principles. This temporary position supports students interested in dental and public health by enhancing oral health literacy among children and families. The Dental Community Intern will develop educational materials, assist with on-site instruction, and help connect high-need patients with relevant resources.</p> <p>Education/Experience: Currently enrolled in an educational program seeking a degree in public health or dental health</p> <p>Primary Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop critical thinking skills to solve problems as they arise in a community oral health setting </li><li>Increase knowledge of Public Health 3.0 Principles in action and dental public health standards </li><li>Increase knowledge of dentistry with an emphasis on patient experience, oral health literacy, and education principles </li><li>Develop and practice health education skills with patients of all ages </li></ul> <p>Time Commitment:120-240 total hours or 20-30 hours/week (can vary); Fall Term (August 2026 - December 2026)</p> <p>Benefit of Internship: The intern will gain meaningful experience that supports both professional development and career readiness.
