<p>The Forklift Operator/Loader will be responsible for moving products around the warehouse and onto trailers safely using a sit-down forklift. The operator needs to have knowledge of weight distribution and effectively load products onto trucks in preparation for delivery. The operator is also responsible for creating load maps and taking pictures of finished loads prior to transport.</p> <p>We are looking for a Forklift Operator/Loader on our First Shift at our Zeeland, MI warehouse.</p> <p>Schedule: M-F 5 a.m. - 2:30 p.m.</p> <p>Pay: $19/hr.</p> <p>Essential Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Operate a Forklift to move products and pallets safely throughout the warehouse </li><li>Ensure orders are accurate and communicate any discrepancies, product issues, or safety issues with the Supervisor </li><li>Stage and place orders on the trailer to best utilize space and maintain proper weight distribution throughout the trailer for drivers to deliver product </li><li>Ensures company documentation of loading trailer is accurate and complete </li><li>Secures or assists in securing the loads onto the trailers and closing the curtains. </li><li>Successfully passes all Novo forklift training and operates a forklift following all safety requirements established within Novo </li><li>May assist in keeping floors clean and dry with the use of a floor scrubber </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>Basic Qualifications (Required)</p> <ul> <li>Effectively perform all essential functions, including physical requirements </li><li>Ability to move awkward product lengths and weights </li><li>Experience with operating a forklift with a rate rating of 6,500 pounds </li><li>Use of proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) and company-approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment </li><li>Basic math, interpersonal/team, and reasoning skills </li><li>Ability to read, understand, and carry out written procedures and standard work instructions. </li><li>Must be 18 years of age or older </li><li>Flexibility in scheduling - able to work overtime as needed </li><li>Use of proper PPE and company-approved tools while remaining aware of hazards and maintaining a safe work environment </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Prior experience in distribution or manufacturing environment </li><li>Experience with flatbeds, curtain sides, and Conestoga's </li><li>Minimum one year of experience operating a forklift </li><li>High School Diploma or GED </li></ul> <p>Why Work with Us?</p> <p>We offer competitive wages, shift premiums, and benefits.
