<p>JOB SUMMARY:</p> <p>Responsibilities across all phases of assigned engineering projects to ensure the objectives of quality, time, and cost are met. Prepares project schedules and reviews cost estimates, compiles required cost and equipment information, and writes appropriation requests. Responsible for effective communication of engineering information among team members. Follows the structure of the Pella Project Management, Safety, Continuous Improvement and Quality Systems throughout project execution. Investigates problems and requirements of projects and develops plans for solutions in line with economic, personnel, and environmental considerations.</p> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>EXPERIENCE: Entry level; 1-3 years combined engineering experience. Assignments have clear, specific objectives and require investigation of a limited number of variables</p> <p>SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - : Product Information Engineer I: Job Code # 06686</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Demonstrates the "Pella Total Competitiveness System" through projects associated with growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability.</p> </li><li> <p>Develops / owns / coordinates SID (Synergy Item Database) and PIT (Part Information Tracking) data.</p> </li><li> <p>Works with supply management, product management, process design, product design and plant teams to determine material inventory attributes such as lineal lengths, number of lengths, make vs. buy, lead time analysis, vertical paint vs. SUP (Single Unit Paint cell), pan sizes, usage by ORG (Organizations), etc.</p> </li><li> <p>Partners with supply management to monitor acquisition of new parts to match the needs of project timelines.</p> </li><li> <p>Responsible for BOM updates within Oracle, including updating flat BOMs and setting up systems CO's for implementation of configurator changes.
