<p>We are looking to hire an exceptionally passionate, multitasking and detail-oriented individual that is self-motivated and experienced in supporting a transportation team with daily administrative tasks.</p> <p>What will your job involve?</p> <ul> <li>Maintain inter-departmental communication between our plant operations, sales, and field operations teams </li><li>Using Nextraq, logs and other documents, track and monitor driver activity. i.e. excessive stop times, excessive idling, excessive speeding, etc. </li><li>Work with administration and production staff to ensure accurate and efficient creation of manifest </li><li>Co-ordinate scheduled vehicle servicing and rectification of equipment issues to improve vehicle performance as required </li><li>Conduct regular vehicle inspections to ensure compliance with roadworthiness, vehicle cleanliness and appropriate driver operation </li><li>Prepare and print memorandums for effective driver communication </li><li>Maintain Key Performance Indicators measures. (EG: Spreadsheets) (Note these items to be defined) </li><li>Analyze route efficiencies to ensure optimum cost savings achieved </li><li>Be pro-active in assisting with the development of safe work practices </li><li>Responsible for ensuring driver compliance with Occupational Health and Safety legislation and principles and rectify any non-conformance or matters of concern regarding Health and Safety and Environmental matters </li><li>Ensure minimal errors are made and high quality of customer service delivered </li><li>Responsible for the quality assurance of smart containers being unloaded and loaded into trucks pre and post trip </li><li>Ensure accuracy of orders: must review all load sheets and ensure quantities are correct prior to shipping in accordance to customer requirements. </li><li>Assist in implementing new processes, procedures, and guidelines to ensure quality and cost control </li><li>Support projects related to the improvement of logistics processes </li><li>Monitor commercial drivers' Hours of Service and maintain DOT compliance </li><li>Monitor and answer daily emails with vendors and customers </li><li>Assisting the Transportation Supervisor with any projects and tasks needed </li><li>Working 50+ hours per week </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years' experience of Transportation Support and/or dispatch experience </li><li>At least 6 months of box truck driving experience </li><li>High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) required </li><li>Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask </li><li>Strong verbal and written communication skills </li><li>Good understanding of transportation/logistics practices and procedures </li><li>Knowledge of best practices for customer needs assessments, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction </li><li>Willingness to be a strong team player and contribute to a positive work environment </li><li>Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook </li></ul> <p>Break down of day-to-day duties:</p> <p>Reports and Matrix</p> <ul> <li>Previous Day Hours </li><li>Post to metric board </li><li>Hours tracking sheet </li><li></li><li></li><li>Identify HOS Issues </li></ul> <p>Compliance</p> <ul> <li>Daily Management of FADV </li><li>Notify Supervisors of expiring items </li><li>Work with drivers on updates to complete Admin work </li><li>Toll Compliance and Transponder tracking </li><li>DOT Binder </li><li>Insurance </li><li>Permits </li><li>Plates/Registration </li></ul> <p>Fleet Maintenance</p> <ul> <li>Vehicle Repair updates in TMS system (Fleetio today) </li></ul> <p>Samsara</p> <ul> <li>Daily Route Check @ noon </li><li>Updates Supervisor of any delays </li></ul> <p>Cornerstone</p> <ul> <li> <p>Daily Admin Tasks</p> </li><li> <p>Review training schedules with planning Supervisor</p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li> <p></p> </li><li> <p>Schedule Drivers for training</p> </li><li> <p>Assist Supervisors with training updates/materials</p> </li><li> <p>Upload 15-day training log</p> </li></ul> <p>Daily Routes</p> <ul> <li>Organize office files </li><li>Print packing slips </li><li>Update Driver notes on stops </li><li></li><li>Ensure all notes are accurate and current to the customers' needs </li></ul> <p>Salesforce</p> <ul> <li>Case Management </li><li>Update cases </li><li>Work with Supervisors on DHCSM cases </li></ul> <p>Assist Supervisors and Managers as needed</p> <p>$66,731 - $73,119 a year</p> <p>Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
