<p>Description</p> <p>Lenze Americas is expanding its service business to include local repair operations and is hiring an experienced supervisor to help launch this exciting new offering and lead a newly formed team focused on board-level electronics repairs.</p> <p>Position Title: Repair Supervisor</p> <p>Position Location: Uxbridge, MA</p> <p>Reporting to: Service Manager</p> <p>Position Type: Onsite Monday - Friday</p> <p>Compensation: $71,000-$79,000 (Compensation depends on skills, knowledge, education, and experience)</p> <p>Position Snapshot: The Mechanical Repair Supervisor oversees daily repair operations for Lenze products while providing hands-on support for complex diagnostics, rework, and urgent customer repairs. This role supervises mechanical and electronic repair technicians, balances workload and priorities to meet safety, quality, and turnaround targets, and ensures accurate documentation and compliance with safety and quality standards. The position also partners closely with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Service to resolve issues, improve repair processes, and drive continuous improvement across the repair function.</p> <p>About you: You are a hands-on supervisor who enjoys solving technical problems and leading a team to deliver high-quality repair results. You bring strong troubleshooting skills, clear communication, and a continuous improvement mindset, and you work well across teams to keep work moving and resolve issues</p> <p>A day in the life:</p> <ul> <li>Lead, coach, and develop repair shop staff to drive high performance and consistent adherence to company policies and procedures. </li><li>Provide day-to-day support to technicians through troubleshooting, diagnostics, and hands-on assistance with urgent or complex repairs. </li><li>Address repair shop issues promptly to minimize disruption, reduce downtime, and maintain workflow. </li><li>Assign work, balance priorities, monitor workload and capacity, remove roadblocks, and escalate issues to leadership as needed. </li><li>Ensure test equipment readiness (e.g., oscilloscopes, multimeters, dynamometers) through basic maintenance, verification, and coordination of calibration/repairs as required. </li><li>Interpret schematics, technical drawings, and engineering documentation to guide troubleshooting decisions. </li><li>Review repair documentation, verify testing and workmanship, and ensure work is completed accurately and in compliance with safety and quality standards. </li><li>Partner with Engineering, Quality, Production, and Service teams to resolve issues, share findings, and support timely customer turnaround. </li><li>Maintain test equipment readiness, including oscilloscopes, multimeters, and dynamometers, through basic maintenance, verification, and coordination of calibration or repair as needed. </li><li>Identify opportunities to improve the repair process and implement initiatives that increase efficiency, reduce waste, and optimize workflow. </li><li>Coordinate with Operations to manage critical spares, consumables, and repair tools and fixtures, and flag shortages to prevent downtime. </li><li>Ensure all repair activities comply with applicable health and safety regulations. </li><li>Promote a safe working environment and support regular safety audits and continuous improvement efforts. </li></ul> <p>Requirements</p> <p>What you will need:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum of 3 years of repair and troubleshooting experience, preferably in the industrial automation industry </li><li>Mechanical associate's degree or equivalent technical experience </li><li>Minimum of 1 year in similar supervisor role with direct reports </li><li>Strong communication, organization, and coaching skills. </li><li>SAP proficiency preferred (production confirmations, labor entry, scrap, materials). </li><li>Foundational Lean knowledge (5S, waste reduction, standard work). </li><li>Ability to interpret production documentation, drawings, BOMs, schematics and work instructions. </li><li>Proficiency with MS Office. </li></ul> <p>Perks of being part of our team:</p> <ul> <li>Blue Cross Blue Shield Medical Insurance - multiple plan options </li><li>Blue Cross Blue Shield Dental Insurance </li><li>FSA, HSA options </li><li>Vision Insurance </li><li>401k with company match, fully vested </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>10 company paid holidays </li><li>Company paid disability & AD&D insurance </li><li>100% paid parental leave after one year of service </li><li>Supplemental insurance plans (Identity theft, cyber protection, additional life, etc.) </li><li>Tuition reimbursement </li><li>Many of our positions offer flexible schedules to meet your needs </li><li>Relaxed business casual environment </li><li>Sit/Stand desks for onsite office positions </li><li>Frequent team building activities </li><li>Career development opportunities </li></ul> <p>About us: Lenze is a global manufacturer of electrical and mechanical drives, motion control and automation technology - offering products, drive solutions, complete automation systems, and engineering services and tools from one single source.
