You'll lead by example, ensuring smooth and efficient dining operations, even when other leadership is not onsite.</p> <p>Why you'll love working here:</p> <ul> <li>same day pay available </li><li>free TARC passes for easy commuting </li><li>discount Verizon mobile plan </li><li>uniforms provided </li><li>educational support and career advancement opportunities </li><li>competitive benefits package </li><li>fun, team-oriented work environment that encourages interaction and engagement with our residents </li></ul> <p>What you'll do:</p> <ul> <li>assist and oversee kitchen operations </li><li>serve as the point of contact for employee needs & staffing during scheduled shifts. </li><li>communicate appropriately to management on status of dining areas & staffing. </li><li>lead dietary aides and oversee daily meal service for residents in assigned dining areas </li><li>manage the tray line process, ensuring meals are served accurately, on time, and according to residents' dietary needs </li><li>perform regular quality control checks to confirm portion sizes, food temperatures, and presentation meet standards </li><li>ensure resident preferences, diets, and hospitality expectations are consistently honored </li><li>train and support dietary staff on sanitation, safety, and food handling procedures </li><li>serve as the point of contact for staffing and team needs during your shift </li><li>make sure all food items are labeled, dated, and discarded according to policy </li><li>perform various quality assurance checks throughout shift to ensure resident meals are being served according to dietary needs and health regulations </li><li>inspect kitchen, storage, and dining areas to maintain cleanliness, organization, and compliance </li><li>communicate operational updates and improvement opportunities to the Dietary director and leadership team </li><li>support department closing duties-verifying cleaning is complete, equipment is secured, and all areas are ready for the next shift </li><li>lead by example, fostering teamwork and a positive, resident-focused environment </li></ul> <p>What you'll bring:</p> <ul> <li>2+ years of experience in food service leadership or senior living dining roles </li><li>strong communication, organization, and mentoring skills </li><li>ability to perform quality assurance checks and maintain high standards of service and safety </li><li>critical thinking and problem-solving skills with attention to detail </li><li>ability to lift/move 25 lbs frequently and up to 60 lbs occasionally </li><li>must be able to work a rotating weekend schedule </li><li>high school diploma or GED required; continuing education in hospitality, nutrition, or management preferred </li></ul> <p>About Masonic Homes Kentucky</p> <p>Masonic Homes Kentucky is a leader in senior living and health services, offering compassionate care and innovative programs that make a difference every day.
