<p>Coordinates the audit process for all on-site and off-site medical related audit requests for acute and ambulatory sites. Oversees the process of logging, tracking, and responding to denials. Ensures all deadlines are met.</p> <ul> <li>Prioritizes multiple simultaneous audit requests in order to ensure varying deadlines are met. </li><li>Prepare all documentation requested to include, but not limited to, medical record documentation, billing, invoices, physician orders, ect. Collaborates with various Hospital and physician office personnel to retrieve required documentation. </li><li>Identifies and is able to locate in the medical record specific reports requested. </li><li>Maintains database of all audit requests. </li><li>Coordinates required system access (e.g. electronic medical record, Billing modules) and workstation spaces needs for on-site auditors. </li><li>Refers unusual problems to the Health Information Manager for review and further direction. </li><li>Participates in Lean Problem Solving methodology. </li><li>Demonstrates respect and regard for the dignity of all patients, families, visitors, and fellow employees to ensure a professional, responsible, and courteous environment. </li></ul> <ol> <li> <p>Commits to recognize and respect cultural diversity for all customers (internal and external).</p> </li><li> <p>Communicates effectively with internal and external customers with respect of differences in cultures, values, beliefs and ages, utilizing interpreters when needed.</p> </li></ol> <p>Performs other duties as assigned</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>High School diploma required. Completion of Medical Records program (RHTT/RHIA) preferred. </li><li>Previous coding, auditing, and medical records department experience required; </li><li>Previous meditech experience preferred. </li></ul>
