We are an equal opportunity employer; no information obtained during the recruitment/selection process is intended for any discriminatory purposes.</p> <p>Pay, Benefits, & Work Schedule</p> <p>Grade: 106</p> <p>Salary: $10.51 - $17.22 Hourly (Dependent on Qualifications)</p> <p>Department: Fleet Maintenance</p> <p>E-mail: MelissaM2@cctexas.com</p> <p>ATTENDANCE REQUIRED FOR THIS POSITION ARE AS FOLLOWS: A rotating 40 hour work week, 7:00 am - 4:00 pm, 3:00 pm - 12:00 am, and 12:00 am - 8:00 am, Monday thru Friday. Must be able to work occasional overtime as needed.</p> <p>Who May Apply?</p> <p>All persons legally authorized to work in the United States</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Ensure that all vehicles that are brought into the vehicle pool are safe, clean and operate properly. </li><li>Verify that Motor Pool and City Hall Motor Pool are dispatching equipment and vehicles to City employees. </li><li>Inspect all vehicles to ensure they are safe, clean and operating properly. </li><li>Maintain daily and weekly trip tickets and process and post on status board daily. </li><li>Compile reports for department head to review. </li><li>Performs minor mechanical repairs as needed and scheduling preventative maintenance. </li><li>Clean and maintain Motor Pool facility/working area and police grounds throughout the day. </li><li>Start facility fuel truck and check fuel readings by measuring availability. </li><li>May be asked to perform other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Requires High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Minimum of six months to one (1) year of experience </li><li>ASE Maintenance and Inspection Certification must be obtained within 6 months of hire </li><li>Must be able to pass a Police background check </li><li>A valid driver's license is required. Successful out of state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire. </li></ul> <p>Other Information:</p> <p>Benefits</p> <p>The City offers an excellent benefit package that includes:</p> <ul> <li>Texas Municipal Retirement System - the City offers a 2 to 1 match.
