We seek differences of opinion, life experience and perspective to represent the diversity of our policyholders and achieve the best possible outcomes.</p> <p>This role requires onsite days on our Lincoln, RI corporate campus.</p> <p>This role does not currently offer employment visa sponsorship.</p> <p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Advanced Analytics Manager will launch and lead Amica's Analytics Development Program, designed to attract, develop, and mentor top analytics talent and build a scalable enterprise pipeline. This role will build the program from the ground up-designing the rotational experience, driving end-to-end execution, and partnering with colleges and internal business units to deliver meaningful business value.</p> <p>In close partnership with the Strategic Analytics AVP and Chief Data Officer, the Advanced Analytics Manager will also lead enterprise analytics enablement, owning activities such as analytics town halls, hack-a-thons, learning modules and micro-courses, and best-practice sharing to elevate analytics capability and adoption across the organization.</p> <p>The ideal candidate is a strong program and people leader who brings structure and execution discipline, accelerates early-career talent through hands-on coaching and feedback, and has the technical credibility to review analytic work and guide junior team members. They combine strong business acumen (insurance experience preferred) with an analytics mindset focused on driving decisions and outcomes, not just producing information.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>Analytics Development Program Leadership:</p> <ul> <li>Launch and lead Amica's Analytics Development Program, building the program from the ground up, including program structure, rotations, curriculum, evaluation criteria, and operating cadence. </li><li>Own end-to-end program execution, ensuring timelines, milestones, and outcomes are consistently delivered with high quality and transparency. </li><li>Design and manage a multi-pathway analytics talent pipeline, including interns, early-career hires, and internal upskilling and reskilling participants. </li></ul> <p>Enterprise Analytics Enablement:</p> <ul> <li>Lead enterprise-wide analytics enablement activities to elevate overall analytics capability and adoption across Amica. </li><li>Plan and facilitate analytics town halls, learning modules and micro-courses, hack-a-thons, and best-practice sharing forums. </li><li>Partner with analytics and business leaders to identify priority skill gaps and ensure enablement activities are aligned to business needs and strategic goals. </li></ul> <p>Talent Development & Technical Coaching:</p> <ul> <li>Mentor, coach, and develop early-career and rotational analytics talent, accelerating skill development through structured learning, feedback, and practical application. </li><li>Provide technical coaching and review, guiding junior team members on coding practices, analytic problem-solving, and predictive modeling approaches to improve rigor and quality. </li><li>Establish clear development expectations, assess progress, and ensure participants are job-ready and positioned for long-term success. </li></ul> <p>Cross-Functional & Executive Partnership:</p> <ul> <li>Partner closely with the Strategic Analytics AVP and Chief Data Officer to shape program direction, priorities, and enterprise analytics enablement strategy. </li><li>Collaborate with business leaders to identify rotation opportunities, high-value projects, and meaningful analytics use cases. </li><li>Deliver clear, executive-ready communications on program progress, outcomes, and enterprise analytics capability growth. </li></ul> <p>External Engagement & Brand Building:</p> <ul> <li>Serve as a visible ambassador for Amica's analytics capability and talent pipeline, representing the organization with colleges and universities. </li><li>Support recruiting efforts through campus engagement, events, and relationship building to attract top analytics talent. </li></ul> <p>Continuous Improvement & Measurement:</p> <ul> <li>Define and track success metrics for both the development program and enablement initiatives. </li><li>Gather feedback, assess impact, and continuously refine program design and enablement approaches to maximize business and talent outcomes. </li></ul> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Data Science, Economics, or related field.</p> </li><li> <p>9+ years of experience in analytics (preferably within insurance or financial services).</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience with analytics tools and coding languages (e.g., SQL, Python), including responsibility for reviewing analytic work and coaching junior team members on quality, rigor, and best practices.</p> </li><li> <p>Demonstrated ability to synthesize complex analyses into clear, actionable insights; adept at challenging assumptions, asking the right questions, and elevating team output through coaching.</p> </li><li> <p>People leadership experience with a focus on leading and developing early-career talent through mentoring, structured feedback, and performance assessment as applicable.</p> </li><li> <p>Strong business acumen with a proven ability to translate analytics into decisions and measurable outcomes.</p> </li><li> <p>Excellent communication and facilitation skills, with comfort presenting to large groups and engaging senior leaders.</p> </li><li> <p>Proven ability to design, launch, and execute complex, multi-stakeholder programs with enterprise visibility.</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience in insurance analytics</p> </li><li> <p>Experience leading or contributing to enterprise analytics enablement initiatives (e.g., analytics training, communities of practice, learning programs, or capability building).</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with business intelligence and analytics platforms (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, MicroStrategy).</p> </li><li> <p>Experience guiding or overseeing predictive modeling or advanced analytics, with the ability to help others apply appropriate techniques and interpret results.</p> </li><li> <p>Experience partnering closely with executive leadership on strategic initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Active user of AI and analytics tools to improve efficiency, learning, and analytic exploration (e.g., Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT).</p> </li><li> <p>Background working with interns, or rotational program participants.</p> </li></ul> <p>Total Rewards:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, dental, vision coverage, short- and long-term disability, and life insurance </li><li>Paid Vacation - you will receive at least 13 vacation days in the first 12 months, amounts could be greater depending on the role.
