Reporting to the Dry End Superintendent, you will lead a dedicated team to achieve and surpass key performance indicator (KPI) targets in safety, quality, cost control, delivery, and employee engagement. Your leadership will foster a culture of excellence, contributing significantly to the efficiency and effectiveness of our operations.</p> <p>This position will be working full-time, Monday through Friday, on a rotating day and night shift.</p> <p>The life of the Planer Mill Supervisor includes:</p> <ul> <li>Maintain the highest safety standards, ensuring compliance with all policies, procedures, practices, and OSHA regulations. </li><li>Address unsafe conditions promptly and proactively. </li><li>Identify opportunities to improve processes and reduce costs while safely meeting production targets. </li><li>Coach, train, and support team members to maximize performance. </li><li>Foster open communication and engage employees for input into work processes and systems. </li><li>Ensure timely implementation of key corporate and operational initiatives, and assist in equipment troubleshooting. </li><li>Maintain and monitor production goals </li><li>Work with other departments to achieve operational goals </li></ul> <p>For this role, come equipped with:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 2-5 years of supervisory experience in an industrial environment </li><li>Working knowledge of web-based computer applications and Microsoft Office </li><li>Grade 12 or equivalent </li><li>Valid driver's license </li></ul> <p>Ideally, you also have prior maintenance experience as well as 2+ years of experience in a sawmill or planer setting.</p> <p>If you possess excellent interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with safe work habits and a working knowledge of OSHA regulations, click that "</p>
