Leveraging technologies, including Microsoft Tools, to partner across departments to redesign workflows, improve operational efficiency, and enable data-driven decision-making. This position provides expertise in AI adoption, develops governance frameworks for responsible use, and champions emerging technologies to align digital solutions with college priorities. By building dashboards, tracking ROI, and supporting training initiatives, this role ensures sustainable and impactful integration of AI tools across the organization. This position also serves as a catalyst for digital innovation, driving collaboration across departments and with external partners to implement practical, forward-thinking AI solutions. This role integrates responsible AI practices into college operations while collaborating with public, community, and business partners to drive regional workforce development, economic growth, and applied learning through AI initiatives.</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Essential Functions and Responsibilities</p> <p>The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily to be qualified for the position. Other duties may be required and assigned.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Lead integration of AI and automation tools to optimize workflows.</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with departments to map, analyze, and redesign business processes for automation and efficiency.</p> </li><li> <p>Identify opportunities for automation or data-driven improvements, and design more efficient, scalable workflows.</p> </li><li> <p>Promote innovation by staying informed on emerging technologies and piloting digital solutions.</p> </li><li> <p>Lead pilot programs and applied learning initiatives that showcase real-world AI applications, connecting college strategy with community, workforce, and industry needs.</p> </li><li> <p>Support the development of AI driven dashboards and reports that enable better decision-making at all levels of the organization and align with institutional reporting requirements.</p> </li><li> <p>Provide expertise for the development of AI-related training by defining objectives, providing subject-matter expertise, and supporting trainers to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with college goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Track adoption and usage of AI and automation tools, evaluate business impact using defined metrics, and provide recommendations to improve effectiveness and return on investment (ROI).</p> </li><li> <p>Establish clear guidelines and governance frameworks to ensure responsible use of AI and digital tools, with a focus on data privacy, user access, solution lifecycle management, and sustainable scaling across departments.</p> </li><li> <p>Develop and implement an AI Repository to document College AI Tools and initiatives.</p> </li><li> <p>Contribute to AI-related policy development with an emphasis on practical applications.</p> </li></ul> <p>Non-Essential Functions and Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Represent the College at conferences and professional networks to share insights and stay current.</p> </li><li> <p>Engage with technology vendors, advocating for features and ensuring alignment with institutional goals.</p> </li><li> <p>Stay current on Microsoft platform updates and promote awareness and adoption where valuable.</p> </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Education and/or Experience Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Bachelor's in Information Systems, Business, or related field (Master's preferred)</p> </li><li> <p>6 to 7 years of experience with business systems, process improvement, or technology enablement</p> </li><li> <p>Experience leading projects that used Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, or M365 Copilot</p> </li><li> <p>Background in project management and cross-functional collaboration</p> </li><li> <p>Strong interpersonal skills; ability to drive initiatives across teams and functions</p> </li><li> <p>Strategic thinker who can execute tactically</p> </li></ul> <p>Licenses, Certifications, and Other Requirements:</p> <ul> <li> <p>Requires a valid Wisconsin Driver's License and acceptable driving record.</p> </li><li> <p>Subject to FVTC's Motor Vehicle Records (MVR) Disclosure check.</p> </li></ul> <p>In evaluating candidates for this position, Fox Valley Technical College may consider a combination of education, training, and experience which provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties of this position.</p> <p>Physical Requirements</p> <ul> <li> <p>Sitting: This role requires extended periods of sitting while performing tasks and utilizing computer systems.</p> </li><li> <p>Mobility: While much of the work is desk-based, occasional mobility may be necessary for attending meetings, office tours, or events within the workplace.</p> </li><li> <p>Fine Motor Skills: This role may need precise hand movements or manual dexterity for activities such as writing on a whiteboard, demonstrating experiments, or using instructional technology like computers.</p> </li><li> <p>Repetitive Motions: Capacity to perform repetitive motions, such as typing, without discomfort or injury.</p> </li><li> <p>Communication: Clear verbal and written communication skills are essential for interacting with employees, candidates, and stakeholders, both in-person and through electronic means.</p> </li><li> <p>Driving: Valid driver's license and ability to operate a vehicle, if driving is a requirement of the position.</p> </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <ul> <li>Work will be completed in a hybrid environment, both in person and virtually. </li></ul> <p>Work environment may change based upon college needs.</p> <p>EOE/ADA Statement</p> <p>Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) is an Equal Opportunity Employer (EOE).
