<p>Job Summary:</p> <p>This role sits out of our Orlando, FL offices and this person will be required to be on site a minimum of 4x/week</p> <p>About the Role & Team</p> <p>The Walt Disney World Litigation Department provides legal advice to Walt Disney World Parks and Resorts U.S., Inc. and Disney Cruise Line regarding a wide range of lawsuits and other legal issues. This Paralegal will principally manage various litigation-related and adjacent administrative tasks.</p> <p>"Are you interested? We encourage you to apply!"</p> <p>What You Will Do</p> <ul> <li>Coordinate company response to third-party subpoenas. </li><li>Facilitate company responses to court ordered legal processes such as UCC liens and employee wage garnishments </li><li>Coordinate company responses to consumer and government agency correspondence. </li><li>Review and respond to consumer letters regarding intellectual property. </li><li>May support in evaluating new lawsuits, supervising document retention and coordinating case assignments. </li><li>May support in revising written discovery and pleadings for accuracy and completeness. </li><li>May support in coordinating with outside counsel and internal business areas to gather documents and information to meet court deadlines. </li><li>May support in the preparation, assistance, monitoring and reporting on trials. </li><li>Draft case correspondence. </li><li>Attend to administrative responsibilities of the Department. </li><li>Manage calendars and deadlines. </li></ul> <p>Required Qualifications & Skills</p> <ul> <li>1 - 3 years' experience in a law firm or in-house legal department; </li><li>Excellent communication skills. </li><li>Excellent attention to detail. </li><li>Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills. </li><li>Ability to work independently with limited supervision. </li><li>Ability to perform efficiently in fast paced environment. </li><li>Ability to effectively interact with various levels of the corporation. </li><li>Ability to manage and coordinate case calendars and meet deadline. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree and/or qualification to be a paralegal by certification or education and work experience as set forth by the American Bar Association and any applicable state codes </li></ul> <p>#CORP_Media #twdcmedia</p>
