<p>Position Summary:</p> <p>The Elementary Education Teacher is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering instruction to students in grades K-5 in accordance with the approved curriculum. The teacher creates a positive learning environment that promotes student engagement and academic achievement while fostering social, emotional, and cognitive development.</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Develop and implement lesson plans that align with state standards and district goals. </li><li>Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment conducive to learning. </li><li>Assess student progress regularly using a variety of assessment tools and adjust instruction accordingly. </li><li>Communicate effectively with students, families, and staff to support student learning and development. </li><li>Maintain accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations. </li><li>Collaborate with other educators, specialists, and support staff to enhance instructional practices. </li><li>Incorporate technology into daily instruction to support and extend learning. </li><li>Participate in professional development and ongoing training to stay current with best practices in education. </li><li>Manage classroom behavior effectively using positive behavior interventions and supports. </li><li>Attend required meetings, conferences, and school events. </li><li>Uphold school and district policies and demonstrate professionalism at all times. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education or related field. </li><li>Valid Indiana teaching license in Elementary Education. </li><li>Strong understanding of child development and instructional best practices. </li><li>Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills. </li><li>Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all learners. </li><li>Commitment to fostering an equitable and inclusive learning environment. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Experience working with diverse student populations. </li><li>Familiarity with [Insert District's] curriculum and instructional frameworks. </li><li>Training in Responsive Classroom, PBIS, or similar programs. </li></ul>
