<p>Senior Accountant</p> <p>What we are looking for</p> <p>Optime Care is seeking a Senior Accountant who will join the Accounting team. In this key role, reporting to the Controller, they will maintain the general ledger, perform month-end closing entries, monthly customer billing, and daily cash reconciliation for the business unit. The Senior Accountant will also provide reporting to customers and support for audit requests and projects.</p> <p>An ideal fit is someone that has strong accounting skills, is a collaborator, and a great communicator. If you like to problem-solve, analyze, and thrive in a fast-paced environment in which you can grow, this might be the role for you!</p> <p>What the position will be doing</p> <ul> <li>Creating monthly journal entries for month-end close. </li><li>Preparing monthly general ledger account reconciliation and addressing issues. </li><li>Creating monthly customer invoices via collecting reports and data needed to prepare spreadsheets and create invoices. </li><li>Providing invoices to customers, becoming the go-to contact for their questions and needs. </li><li>Partnering with various departments internally for billing. </li><li>Posting daily cash transactions to the general ledger and subsidiary AR ledger. </li><li>Processing accounts payable invoices and weekly AP disbursement. </li><li>Support the Accounting team with other tasks as needed. </li><li>Displaying a professional attitude, keeping confidentiality, respecting others, and maintaining integrity. </li><li>Other duties as assigned, being adaptable and flexible in times of change and needs of the business. </li></ul> <p>Necessary Skills, Education & Abilities</p> <ul> <li>A Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, or related field is required. </li><li>2+ years of accounting experience. </li><li>Experience with Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and VLOOKUPS. </li><li>Great analytical and time management skills, self-motivated, willing to learn, and the ability to maintain confidential information. </li><li>Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing priorities, flexible and adaptive to changing processes and procedures. </li><li>Exceptional oral and written skills, outstanding interpersonal skills, and the ability to work closely with vendors, partners, clients, and senior management. </li><li>Ability to think and act independently, formulate, and support new ideas, think proactively, and champion new initiatives within and beyond the scope of one's responsibilities. </li><li>Experience working independently as well as on a team with limited supervision. </li><li>A creative problem solver with an innovative mindset to create mutually beneficial solutions. </li><li>Relentless attention to detail. </li><li>Experience planning, coordinating, and facilitating meetings. </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, and Outlook. </li></ul> <p>About us</p> <p>Optime Care is a Specialty Pharmacy dedicated to providing services to smaller patient communities.
