<p>LOCATIONS:</p> <p>DRURY HIGH SCHOOL</p> <p>Description:</p> <p>This is an annual internal posting for current NAPS faculty members. The following position is a salary differential per the NATA contract and is for the school year only.</p> <ul> <li> <p>Manage a high quality athletics program that will provide students with a broad, balanced, and integrated program characterized by high expectations, performance, equity, and sportsmanship as an extension of learning during the formal school day;</p> </li><li> <p>To assist the Athletics Director and Coaches by providing updated information for eligibility; to work proactively with student-athletes, families, coaches and school staff to reduce barriers to athletic participation and to work collaboratively with the Athletics Director, Coaches, and Principal to insure a safe, orderly and organized athletics program.</p> </li><li> <p>Must have a working knowledge of PowerSchoolTM for determining the</p> </li></ul> <p>academic eligibility status of players;</p> <ul> <li> <p>Must have a working knowledge of the MIAA regulations;</p> </li><li> <p>Assists with the implementation of district policies for interscholastic athletics, specifically the concussion policy implementation and screening for the return to play; Insures that all physical screenings are completed and requirements are met for players by team;</p> </li><li> <p>Creates the team rosters for the Athletics Director, Coaches, and Principal;</p> </li><li> <p>Reports to the Superintendent, Athletics Director, and Principal;</p> </li><li> <p>May be requested to complete other organizational duties associated with the Athletics program as determined by the Superintendent, Athletics Director, and/or the Principal.</p> </li></ul> <p>The Committee's policy of nondiscrimination will extend to students, staff, the general public, and individuals with whom it does business; No person shall be excluded from or discriminated against in admission to a public school of any town or in obtaining the advantages, privileges, and courses of study of such public school on account of age, race, color, sex, gender identity, religion, national origin, sexual orientation, disability or homelessness.</p> <p>Requirements</p> <p>Employed at Drury High School in a teaching capacity or the equivalent.</p> <p>Preferred: Two years Admin or coaching experience</p> <p>Physical Requirements: The position requires a moderate amount of walking, standing, sitting and climbing stairs and step stool whenever necessary. Activities also include moderate physical exertion in body movement such as reaching, bending, twisting, grasping, pushing, and pulling of objects. The position requires lifting objects of 20 pounds on a frequent basis, and over 20 pounds occasionally. There is a frequent requirement of fine manipulation associated with the required use of a computer, typewriter, keyboard, calculator, and other business machines.</p> <p>Environmental Conditions: The occupant is required to work indoors.
