<p>DIRECTOR OF SALES & MARKETING</p> <p>Scintilla EG Holding Company</p> <p>Location: Hybrid/ Based in Marion, Iowa</p> <p>Reports to: CGO, COO or CEO</p> <p>Exempt or Non-Exempt: Exempt</p> <p>Status: Full-Time</p> <p>Typical Working Hours: 7:30am to 4:30pm; Some travel required</p> <p>Role Purpose:</p> <p>The Director of Sales & Marketing will be a strategic, cross-functional leader responsible for accelerating smart, sustainable growth across all business units under Scintilla EG Holding Company. This leader will unify go-to-market strategies, elevate brand presence, optimize pipeline health, and align marketing and sales execution with the company's ownership-driven culture and long-term value creation goals.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <p>Sales Leadership:</p> <ul> <li>Design and lead a shared sales strategy across business units (e.g., Automation, Electric, Power & Safety), balancing centralized oversight with decentralized execution. </li><li>Partner with operational leaders to identify ideal customer profiles and emerging market opportunities aligned with each BU's strengths. </li><li>Define and track KPIs for lead generation, pipeline velocity, customer retention, and revenue growth. </li><li>Implement CRM (e.g., Acumatica or alternative) discipline to ensure visibility and accountability in the sales process. </li><li>Coach and develop sales talent, fostering a culture of ownership, responsiveness, and results. </li></ul> <p>Marketing Strategy & Brand Elevation:</p> <ul> <li>Own the Scintilla EG and ESCO brand voice and visual identity assuring consistency and resonance with key audiences (clients, partners, recruits). </li><li>Develop and execute marketing plans that support both company-wide growth objectives and business-unit-specific campaigns. </li><li>Oversee digital presence (website, LinkedIn, paid/organic media, email campaigns, SEO/SEM). </li><li>Leverage trade shows, industry associations (e.g., CSIA, SMRP), and content marketing to position ESCO as a thought leader and trusted integrator. </li></ul> <p>Cross-Functional Collaboration:</p> <ul> <li>Work closely with business unit leaders, engineering/operations, finance, HR, and IT to align growth efforts with resource capacity and operational readiness. </li><li>Support business development and acquisition efforts with pre-deal research and post-deal go-to-market integration planning. </li></ul> <p>Customer & Market Insight:</p> <ul> <li>Lead voice-of-customer efforts to understand buying behavior, satisfaction, and unmet needs. </li><li>Identify industry trends, competitive threats, and partnership opportunities across core and adjacent markets (e.g., industrial automation, electrical contracting, infrastructure). </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>8+ years of progressive experience in B2B sales, marketing, or business development (industrial, engineering, or technology sectors preferred). </li><li>Demonstrated success leading high-impact GTM strategies across multiple divisions or business lines. </li><li>Deep understanding of CRM and marketing automation platforms; Acumatica CRM experience a plus. </li><li>Strong leadership, communication, and storytelling skills-able to influence at all levels and connect technical capability to customer value. </li><li>Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias for action, results, and continuous improvement. </li></ul> <p>Key Traits We Value:</p> <ul> <li>Forward-Thinking - anticipates industry changes and positions us ahead. </li><li>Transparent & Grounded - communicates openly and honestly. </li><li>Responsive & Reliable - delivers with precision and accountability. </li><li>Ownership Mindset - acts as a steward of the enterprise, not just a department. </li></ul>
