<p>Regular Full Time Status: Non-Exempt / Hourly</p> <p>Reports to: ACCOUNTANT</p> <p>Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Vacation, Paid Holidays</p> <p>Essential Duties and Responsibilities (This is not an exhaustive list of all duties/responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned)</p> <ul> <li>Reconcile accounts to general ledger </li><li>Maintain and balance petty cash fund </li><li>Prepare and make bank deposits </li><li>Receive and process payments from patients & other payers </li><li>Monitor outstanding balances and initiate follow-up on past-due accounts </li><li>Make collection calls and or send collection notices in accordance with clinic policy </li><li>Maintain accurate and up to date records of all transactions and collection activities </li><li>Provide clear, professional assistance to patients regarding their account balances </li><li>Explain clinic payment policies and options to patients in both English and Spanish </li><li>Prepare and make daily bank deposits </li><li>Reconcile receipts & prepare related reports for internal use </li><li>Provides general clerical and accounting assistance </li><li>Maintains files, logs, and other records </li><li>Assists department accountants as directed </li><li>Ability to perform duties with accuracy and speed under pressure of time-sensitive deadlines </li><li>Knowledge of customer service principles and procedures </li><li>Ability to multi-task, handle interruptions, work well under pressure, and maintain a calm and professional demean or Assists department accountants, as directed </li><li>Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a personal computer and computer program applications </li><li>Explain CC Idaho procedures/policies/programs to vendors and customers and resolve customer concerns </li><li>Prepare, distribute and maintain a variety of documents, correspondence, log sheets, applications and related documents </li><li>Process and maintain computerized account balances and related information </li><li>Verify billing information, services, and other information and customers </li><li>Provides general clerical and accounting assistance </li><li>Maintains files, logs and other records. </li><li>Ability to perform duties with accuracy and speed under pressure of time-sensitive deadlines </li><li>Knowledge of customer service principles and procedures </li><li>Ability to multi-task, handle interruptions, work well under pressure and maintain a calm and professional demeanor </li><li>Ability to operate standard office equipment, including a personal computer and computer program applications </li><li>Ability to calculate figures and amounts </li><li>Maintain standards of confidentiality of CC Idaho clients and client records </li><li>Perform all work duties and activities in accordance with CC Idaho policies, procedures, and safety practices </li></ul> <p>Qualifications/Benefits</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Required</p> </li><li> <p>High School Diploma or GED</p> </li><li> <p>Bilingual skills English/Spanish</p> </li><li> <p>1 - 2 year's related experience and/or training in accounts receivable or collections</p> </li><li> <p>Current driver's license and proof of auto insurance</p> </li><li> <p>Must pass background checks</p> </li><li> <p>Preferred</p> </li><li> <p>Experience in a medical clinic or healthcare environment</p> </li><li> <p>Experience with billing systems such as "Athena"</p> </li><li> <p>Familiarity with collection practices and relevant regulations</p> </li></ul> <p>Required Physical Demands</p> <ul> <li>Is frequently required to stand; walk; climb or balance, sit, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; reach with hands and arms </li><li>Must be able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>Work in an office or classroom setting; may be exposed to electrical shock and fumes or airborne particles; the work may be stressful; the noise level is moderate to elevated</p> <p>BENEFITS</p> <p>"CCI is a strong, non-profit agency to work with.
