<p>Key Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Prepare and cook grill items such as burgers, sandwiches, hot dogs, chicken, pizza, and specialty menu items. </li><li>Set up and stock stations with necessary supplies before service. </li><li>Ensure food is prepared quickly, safely, and consistently according to resort standards. </li><li>Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of grills, fryers, prep areas, and kitchen equipment. </li><li>Follow food safety, sanitation, and health department guidelines. </li><li>Assist with food prep, inventory rotation, and restocking supplies. </li><li>Monitor food temperatures and proper storage procedures. </li><li>Provide friendly and professional interaction with guests. </li><li>Assist with special events, cookouts, and seasonal activities hosted by the resort. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Previous grill cook, line cook, or kitchen experience preferred. </li><li>Knowledge of safe food handling practices. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. </li><li>Strong teamwork and communication skills. </li><li>Flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and holidays. </li><li>Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 40 pounds. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Skills</p> <ul> <li>Experience in hospitality, campground, or resort settings. </li><li>Ability to multitask and stay organized during busy periods. </li><li>Positive attitude and strong customer service skills. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>Work in a fast-paced, high-energy kitchen environment. It will require evening, weekend, and/or holiday shifts based on business demands. </li><li>Potential exposure to hot surfaces, sharp utensils, and cleaning chemicals. </li></ul> <p>This is a full-time, seasonal position working at Sun Outdoors New Orleans North Shore.
