<p>Innovation and Entrepreneurship Program Instructional Coach</p> <p>Perry Township Innovation and Entrepreneurship at University of Indianapolis is ready to hire three dynamic individuals driven to build a new program from the ground up. Perry Township Innovation and Entrepreneurship at University of Indianapolis is designed to be modeled very closely to the AMP Lab in Fort Wayne. This program is designed to meet the Next Level Programs of study pathway in Entrepreneurship. Students will participate in a half-day program and will complete three courses: Principles of Entrepreneurship, New Venture Development, and Small Business Operations. Students will work to meet the competencies of each of these courses. In addition, this program will utilize Project Based Learning as its vehicle for delivering instruction as well as design thinking models to create innovative solutions to complex problems brought to our program by local community organizations such as entrepreneurs, non-profit organizations, and large corporations.</p> <p>Interested parties can apply for any or all of the coaching opportunities listed below:</p> <p>COMMUNITY COACH</p> <p>Develop and maintain an exemplary community partnership model that supports the development of high-quality project experiences, builds positive relationships with community members and maximizes real-world opportunities for student engagement in an innovative environment. Other job specific functions include:</p> <ul> <li>Supports students' growth with 21st Century skills and habits of mind through leadership coaching, professionalism opportunities, and student agency development. </li><li>Facilitates relationships with community-based businesses, non-profits, and organizations for engagement opportunities with the Perry Innovation and Entrepreneurship program. </li><li>Supports work-based learning systems for both student internship and employment opportunities and partnership residency and internship programs. </li><li>Seek out and maintain project opportunities that meet the required expectations for quality and effectiveness. Develop and oversee project pool database systems for student engagement and application. </li></ul> <p>ENGAGEMENT COACH</p> <p>Develop, oversee, and maintain an extension of the Perry Innovation and Entrepreneurship program to develop K-10th grade career exposure and exploration opportunities in relationship with community partners, C9 career center, and Perry Township traditional schools to promote skill development and increase student engagement. Other job specific functions include:</p> <ul> <li>Oversee and develop opportunities for middle school career exposure as an extension of the Perry Township Innovation and Entrepreneurship program. </li><li>Oversee and develop career connected student experiences K-10 in collaboration with all Perry Township schools. </li><li>Serve as the main liaison for career exposure and exploration between Perry Township Innovation and Entrepreneurship program and traditional Perry Township schools. </li><li>Develop processes, frameworks, and toolkits to support traditional schools alignment to Perry Township Innovation and Entrepreneurship program career exposure and exploration structure. </li><li>Background teaching and/or coaching in a Project-based learning environment preferred. </li></ul> <p>INSTRUCTIONAL COACH</p> <p>Develop and provide a professional learning ecosystem to support teachers in the development of high-quality project experiences, scaffolding effective strategies and non-traditional assessment supports to maximize student achievement in an innovative environment. Other job specific functions include:</p> <ul> <li>Collaboratively plan, facilitate, and follow-up PD/PLC meetings </li><li>Observe teacher performance using the NIET Instructional Rubrics and conduct follow-up teacher conferences. </li><li>Delivering high quality instruction to students and adult learners. </li><li>Supports student development of 21st Century skills and project quality through utilization of coaching techniques, conferencing models, and feedback systems. </li><li>Collaborates with leading local, national, and global education organizations and entities to curate and develop best practice exemplars to support high quality implementation of the Perry Township Innovation and Entrepreneurship at the University of Indianapolis model. </li><li>Supports students and teachers in the development and implementation of robust non-traditional assessment resources, structures, frameworks, and tools. </li><li>Monitor and observe teacher implementation of the instructional model and provide targeted feedback, resources and support to promote implementation of whole child development frameworks. </li></ul> <p>OTHER ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS of all coaching positions include:</p> <ul> <li>Participate and engage in required job-embedded, after school and summer professional learning, activities and workshops for both personal, collaborative and program growth. </li><li>Models teaching behavior to adult learners in a variety of highly effective instructional strategies, industry standards, and future education and career trends. </li><li>Have excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills to help facilitate professional learning communities, collaborate with shared stakeholders and assist teams in problem solving through inquiry groups using data. </li><li>Possesses knowledge of current effective practices in project and instructional design that have a positive impact on student achievement to improve collaboration, build learning communities and support commitment to implement the Perry Innovation and Entrepreneurship model on the campus of University of Indianapolis. </li><li>Mini-bus certification is required for each coach. Possess a valid Indiana teaching license and a minimum of 3 to 5 years of successful teaching experience. Teaching experience in a Project Based Learning environment is preferred. </li></ul> <p>Education</p> <ul> <li>Masters Degree preferred. </li></ul> <p>Experience</p> <ul> <li>At least 5 years of successful teaching as measured by performance evaluations, promotions and/ or portfolio of work. </li><li>Experience supporting effective instruction or coaching of teachers preferred. </li></ul> <p>FLSA Status: Exempt</p>
