Must be physically able to carry out duties assigned. Must be aware of health and safety practices concerning Bloodborne Pathogens that relate to personal safety.</p> <p>Job Related Minimum Required Education and Experience</p> <p>Typically holds a high school diploma or GED. Requires 1 or more years of job related experience.</p> <p>Required Certification, Licensure/Other Credentials Preferred Qualifications Knowledge/Skills/Abilities</p> <p>Knowledge of standard cleaning techniques and characteristics of surfaces to be cleaned.</p> <ul> <li>Ability to lift 50 pounds. </li><li>Ability to perform repeated bending, stooping, lifting, reaching activities. I.e. pushing/pulling fully loaded custodial carts, reaching to clean blackboards, bending and stooping to do spot cleaning, empty trash cans, etc. </li><li>Ability to read, speak, and understand at a level appropriate to the position. </li><li>Skilled in working in a university or large institution. </li><li>Good interpersonal communication skills. </li><li>Excellent customer skills. Daily cleaning of general public areas include sweeping, mopping, or vacuum floors. Remove trash and reset furniture as needed to maintain safe walking areas. Dusting or cleaning surfaces to include furniture, cabinets. Sanitize touches areas including door handles</p> <p>Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 25 Job Duty</p> <p>Cleaning and disinfecting classrooms, offices, and auditoriums in assigned areas. Cleaning floors, including sweeping, mopping, or vacuuming. Wipe down all surfaces. Clean White boards. Periodic cleaning of windows and blinds. Removing trash.</p> <p>Essential Function Yes Percentage of Time 30 Job Duty</p> <p>Cleaning/disinfecting and maintaining all restrooms in assigned area. Includes cleaning and disinfecting all fixtures. Clean mirrors, door handles, handrails. Providing supplies in all areas. Removing all trash. Replenishing all trash receptacle supplies. Sweep, mop, wax, vacuum floors. Notify supervisor of issues noted. In case of emergency notify supervisor immediately.
