<p>Who You Are</p> <p>As an Accounts Director focusing on the consumer electronics market, you will be instrumental in charting new markets and cultivating strong customer relationships with battery cell makers and OEMs on a global scale, with a primary focus on Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. You will be responsible for the account strategy and execution for these key regions. You'll develop engagement strategies and account plans for both existing and prospective customers, collaborating closely with technical and commercial stakeholders within and outside of Sila to identify, qualify, and progress commercial opportunities that align with Sila's commercial strategy and product roadmap. You will be a confident voice in meetings, providing guidance and sharing your local market knowledge, and you will have the ability to develop and maintain both executive and working-level relationships at key accounts. You will be responsible for crafting contractual agreements and multi-year forecasts across customers.</p> <p>Responsibilities and Duties</p> <ul> <li>Account Strategy & Execution: Develop and execute account strategies for all key accounts in the Korea, Japan, and Taiwan markets. </li><li>Customer Relationship Management: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key decision-makers at customers, both for yourself and other team members. Understand customer business strategy and needs, decision-making processes, and organizational dynamics. Act as a trusted advisor and advocate for Sila's solutions, managing customer expectations and communicating progress effectively. </li><li>Team Leadership: Lead and mentor team members in the region on effective customer engagement strategies, business development, and sales techniques. </li><li>Sales & Forecasting: Develop and execute engagement strategies to achieve revenue targets. Forecast demand across key accounts, creating multi-year projections to inform strategic planning and resource allocation. </li><li>Account Management: Capable of hands-on account management when required to ensure the successful progression of opportunities. </li><li>Market Intelligence: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies within the consumer electronics sector and effectively share with the team. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge and Skill Requirements</p> <ul> <li>Proven experience in business development, account management, project management, and team leadership with large consumer electronics OEM customers. International experience and familiarity with Korean, Japanese & Taiwanese markets is preferred. </li><li>Minimum of 5-7 years of experience selling into battery cell making and/or consumer electronics supply chains, especially novel products requiring physical integration. Experience with batteries or battery components is preferred. </li><li>Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills in English. Fluency in Korean is required. </li><li>Strong negotiation, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Proficiency in understanding complex technical and commercial concepts. </li></ul> <p>Physical Demands and Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Operate a computer and other office equipment, such as a laptop, copier/printer, etc. in a fixed location. </li><li>At least 50% travel required, both domestic and international. </li></ul> <p>The starting base pay for this role is between $169,000 and $213,000 at the time of posting. The actual base pay depends on many factors, such as education, experience, and skills. Base pay is only one part of Sila's competitive Total Rewards package that can include benefits, perks, equity, and bonuses.
