<p>Overview</p> <p>Plant Supervisor</p> <p>Location: Columbus, GA</p> <p>Reports To: Operations Manager</p> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>Consistent work, with a work/life balance </li><li>Overtime Opportunities </li><li>Paid Holidays </li><li>Paid Time Off </li><li>401(k) Plan w/ employer match contribution </li><li>Medical / Dental / Vision Plan options </li><li>Life Insurance Company Paid </li><li>Short-term / Long-term Disability Insurance Company Paid </li></ul> <p>Roles & Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Verify batching orders received from dispatch facility. </li><li>Batches concrete mix according to customer requests and design specifications. </li><li>Accurately loads ready mix trucks for delivery as scheduled </li><li>Maintains an accuracy of driver and customer ticket order scheduling </li><li>Coordinates incoming materials and maintain proper inventory levels as needed. </li><li>Oversee materials are placed in appropriate bins. </li><li>Schedule drivers based on customer demand </li><li>Supervises drivers resolving employee behavior, work schedule, load quality, reviews and approves payroll, attendance, disciplinary action and performs annual reviews. </li><li>Review pre-trip and post-trip driver logs. </li><li>Production reports </li><li>Ensuring customer service </li><li>Maintains housekeeping tasks of plant office and premises to conform to company and legal standards. </li><li>Daily and monthly inventory </li><li>Quality control tasks such as moisture checks, slump tests, air entrainment tests and temperature of materials. </li><li>Ensure compliance with safety, health and environmental policies </li><li>Maintain preventative maintenance logs for the plant </li><li>Monitor chemical inventories </li><li>EPA reporting requirements </li><li>Inspect plant equipment and notify management of maintenance and repairs as needed. </li><li>Conduct monthly safety meetings. </li><li>Ensures Hours of service are followed and enforced </li><li>Responsible for collection of COD daily. </li></ul> <p>Ability, Skills & Knowledge</p> <ul> <li>Able to follow verbal and written instructions. </li><li>Demonstrates proficiency in difficult and high-pressure situations. </li><li>Must possess, or be able to obtain, a DOT certification </li><li>Must be able to pass a background check, fitness for duty evaluation, and pre-employment drug testing. </li><li>Must be able to lift-up to 50 pounds in weight </li><li>Must be able to climb silos up to 100 feet </li><li>Must be able to work in a heavy industrial environment, exposed to weather elements and noise. </li><li>Ability to follow and add to safety culture to create a safe work environment. </li><li>Ability to work well with others. </li><li>Must be able to pass a background check, fitness for duty evaluation, and pre-employment drug testing. </li><li>High school education or GED equivalent. </li></ul> <p>Get Hired: What to Expect During our Hiring Process</p> <ul> <li>Background Check </li><li>Motor Vehicle Record Check </li><li>5-Panel Drug Screen (DOT if applicable) </li><li>Fit for Duty Baseline Physical (DOT if applicable) </li><li>Paid Orientation </li><li>A great team to support you throughout your career with Summit Materials companies! </li></ul> <p>Req #: 1460</p>
