<p>Who this job appeal to:</p> <p>If you are a natural salesperson who enjoys selling memorable experiences with excellent communication skills in a resort environment this job is for you! This position is a National Resort Sales Manager position and reports to the Resort Director of Sales.</p> <p>The ideal candidate for this position:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, required. </li><li>Strong interpersonal and problem-solving abilities. </li><li>Highly responsible & reliable & organized. </li><li>Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times. </li><li>Consistently offer professional, friendly, and engaging service. </li><li>High school diploma or GED. </li><li>2-year or 4-year degree from an accredited university in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel, and Restaurant Management, or a related major is preferred. </li><li>2-year experience in the hospitality industry preferred. </li></ul> <p>What you will be doing:</p> <ul> <li>Ensure prompt and courteous service is extended to both internal and external customers. </li><li>Ensure the achievement of sales objectives on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis. </li><li>Solicit group business through action plan preparation and execution. </li><li>Maintain accounts, contact, activity, and business details within the appropriate software applications. </li><li>Work closely with Catering and Front Office to ensure all details of the contract were signed and delivered. </li><li>Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports, as required. </li><li>Balance operational, administrative, and Colleague needs. </li><li>Follow corporate as well as departmental policies and procedures. </li><li>Follow all safety policies. </li><li>Establish parameters, and quotes, and negotiate prices, confirmed by a written contract. </li><li>Participate in tradeshows, conventions, and promotional events within the hotel and trade-related organizations. </li><li>Solicit, confirm, and coordinate Special Corporate and Group Sales. </li><li>Handle customer inquiries and lead requests for groups. </li><li>Work with customers to align customer preferences with brand needs and actively up-sell each business opportunity to maximize revenues and drive customer loyalty. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Benefits:</p> <ul> <li>Medical, Dental, and Vision. </li><li>Short- and Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance. </li><li>401(k). </li><li>Paid Time Off to include Vacation, Holidays, & Sick. </li><li>Complimentary and Discounted Rooms. </li><li>Travel Benefits. </li></ul>
