The Coach tracks student progress using the student success platform (EAB/Navigate) and works collaboratively with advisors, faculty, and staff to address academic concerns, provide resources, and support students' personal and professional development. This position also represents the Student Success team at campus events, orientations, and other programs to engage students and foster a sense of community. Additionally, the Coach assists with university initiatives such as the Attendance Initiative, Raider Retention Grant, and Course Material Grant, connecting students with essential resources and helping them navigate challenges to ensure their continued success.</p> <p>A full job description will be provided at the time of the scheduled interview</p> <p>Minimum Qualifications</p> <p>Required qualifications.</p> <ul> <li>A bachelor's degree in education, social work, psychology, sociology, counseling, or a related field. </li><li>Minimum one year of experience working with students in an academic, teaching, or personal development/coaching setting. </li><li>Effective communications skills (written/oral) and the ability to execute multiple initiatives with deadlines are required. </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications</p> <p>Preferred qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>A master's degree in student affairs, counseling, social work, or a related field. </li><li>Experience in higher education with student access, transition, retention, and success programs. </li><li>Experience with specialized student populations including first-generation, low income and underrepresented individuals. </li></ul> <p>Posting Detail Information</p> <p>Open Date 02/11/2026 Close Date Open Until Filled Special Instructions Summary</p> <p>For full consideration all candidates should apply online at https://jobs.ship.edu with acceptance of materials until the search has been closed.
