The ELP Associates are expected to provide each student in with support to promote academic growth via homework help and rigorous activities aligned to the Common Core State standards.</p> <p>Duties:</p> <p>ELP offers a variety of activities ranging from Art, Physical Fitness, Gardening, Science, etc.</p> <p>Each ELP associate will be responsible for implementing the given activities daily with a group of 10-12 students.</p> <p>Related duties may include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Keep students safe and supervised at all times; </li><li>Attend staff meetings and program professional development activities; </li><li>Communicate regularly with school staff, administration and parents; </li><li>Perform related duties as appropriate and assigned. </li></ul> <p>Minimum Qualifications & Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>High school or GED degree, Associates Degree/CDA early childhood education/school age preferred </li><li>Proven ability to interact collaboratively with children ages 5-13, staff and parents </li><li>Proven ability to develop and maintain activities for children ages 5-13 </li><li>First Aid and CPR certified </li><li>Ability to take direction, work with a diverse population and be a problem-solver. </li><li>Participate in Program Professional Development </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <p>7-8:30am and/or 2:30pm-6 pm; 3-5 days per week depending on site requirements;</p> <p>Hourly Rate: $18.00</p> <p>Hours not to exceed 23 hours per week</p> <p>Application Procedure:</p> <p>Apply Online</p> <p>Please go on-line at www.danbury.k12.ct.us job listings</p>
