<p>PT Recycle Attendant</p> <p>CITY OF BARTLETT</p> <p>PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT</p> <p>SOLID WASTE DIVISION</p> <p>RECYCLING ATTENDANT</p> <p>SALARY $15.35 PER HOUR</p> <p>THIS IS A PART-TIME POSITION WITHOUT BENEFITS.</p> <p>Essential Job Functions:</p> <ul> <li>Outside grounds maintenance. </li><li>Assist people with recycling at drop-off centers. </li><li>Travel to other unmanned drop-off centers to inspect and clean the area. </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li><li>Must be able to drive pickup trucks and other vehicles. </li><li>Perform other duties as assigned by Manager or Field supervisor of the Solid Waste Division, and Director or Assistant Director of Public Works. </li></ul> <p>Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Worker Characteristics:</p> <ul> <li>Knowledge of standard safety practices. </li><li>Ability to follow oral/written instructions. </li><li>Ability to communicate with co-workers. </li><li>Physical ability to perform essential job duties. </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED. </li><li>The ability to read and write sentences with common vocabulary. </li></ul> <p>Special Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Must be able to drive and hold a valid Class D driver's license and to remain as condition of the continued employment. </li><li>Must pass a background screen, driver's license verification and physical exam, including a drug test. </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions:</p> <ul> <li>May be required to work long hours ( overtime) in emergencies such as storms, debris removal, clearing roadways, and snow and ice removal. </li><li>Work outside exposed to extreme temperatures and inclement weather. </li><li>Frequently exposed to dust and occasionally to dampness and unsanitary conditions. </li><li>Subject to hazards of solid waste collection and construction work, equipment, and working around traffic. </li><li>Subject to excessive noise from equipment. </li><li>Subject to handling and breathing irritating substances. </li><li>Subject to heavy lifting, as much as 50lbs. a distance of four feet from ground and on occasion up to 100lbs., occasionally requires working in confined spaces. </li><li>Subject to excessive reaching, pulling, pushing, and feeling. </li><li>Requires the ability to ascend and descend ladders, structures, and equipment. </li><li>Requires crawling, bending, kneeling, stooping, and crouching. </li><li>Requires sitting, or standing for long periods and extensive walking. </li><li>Must wear all safety equipment following safety regulations. </li></ul> <p>All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, or protected veteran status and will not be discriminated against on the basis of disability.
