<p>Sr Electrical Engineer</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>Sr Electrical Engineers- Trade Tools New Product Development</p> <p>Brookfield, WI (53005)</p> <p>Job Duties</p> <ul> <li>Lead the design, prototype, test, and troubleshooting of embedded electronics hardware and firmware. </li><li>Ideate, evaluate, and develop new technologies for applications. </li><li>Identify performance and cost tradeoffs of competing electronic design solutions. </li><li>Mentor, guide, and coach junior Engineers. May manage or lead a small team. </li><li>Drive urgency in project schedules and hold accountability for establishing and achieving key project metrics that meet the organization's needs. </li><li>Communicate status updates to other teams and mid-level management. Share lessons learned and design updates to other technical leaders. </li><li>Apply a platform use approach to all new designs, gathering and implementing design considerations for use in multiple product categories. </li><li>Build organizational capacity; provide technical guidance to entry level engineers on their projects. </li><li>Participate in cross functional design reviews as an independent reviewer. </li><li>Establish and define best practices for fellow team members. Create development tools to increase team efficiency. </li><li>Work with component suppliers and manufacturers for proper component selection on existing projects and input into future product needs. </li></ul> <p>Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, related engineering field, or foreign degree equivalent, and 2 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer, or alternate related acceptable occupation; OR Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, related engineering field, or foreign degree equivalent, and 5 years of relevant experience as an Electrical Engineer, or alternate related acceptable occupation.</p> <p>Work or academic experience must have included:</p> <ul> <li>System Design </li><li>Power Management, ultra-low power embedded hardware, and firmware implementations </li><li>Designing embedded systems and interfacing with microcontrollers </li><li>C programing </li><li>Sensor system design, test methods, controls, and architectures </li></ul> <p>10% of domestic and international travel required.</p> <p>#LI-DNI</p> <p>Milwaukee Tool is an equal opportunity employer.</p>
