The college is accredited by the New England Commission of Higher Education (NECHE).</p> <p>Job Description:</p> <p>HR Operations Specialist (Staff Associate), Human Resources Development</p> <p>Non-Unit Professional position, 37.5 hours/week</p> <p>Campus Location: Danvers/Lynn</p> <p>Work Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8:30 am - 4:30 pm</p> <p>SALARY: Anticipated salary range $70,000.00 - $76,000.00. Actual salary is commensurate with experience and education. Click HERE for a highlight of these benefits.</p> <p>GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES:</p> <p>The HR Operations Specialist (Staff Associate) supports the day-to-day operations of the HR Department. This role supports the operations tasks of the department.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</p> <ul> <li>Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on HR-related issues </li><li>Track the performance management process to ensure that all employees are being evaluated </li><li>Processes contractual notices </li><li>Monitor departmental budgets </li><li>Support employee on and offboarding </li><li>Monitor and analyze HR metrics and provide regular reports to senior management on HR operations and trends </li><li>Oversee the scanning of personnel files/documents </li><li>Chair the Employee Service Award Breakfast committee </li><li>Ensure HR required postings are up to date </li><li>Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations </li><li>Represent the HR Department on the CARE Committee </li><li>Manage HR projects and initiatives as assigned </li><li>Other duties as assigned </li></ul> <p>SUPERVISION RECEIVED: HR Operations & Benefits Manager</p> <p>Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Associate's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field </li><li>2+ years of experience in operations management </li><li>Strong leadership skills and the ability to manage and develop a team of HR professionals </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build effective relationships with all levels of the organization </li><li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze HR metrics and provide insights and recommendations </li><li>Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time-management skills </li><li>Successful experience interacting with culturally diverse populations </li><li>Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite </li></ul> <p>Preferred Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field </li><li>4+ years of experience in operations management </li><li>Thorough understanding of HR best practices and employment laws and regulations </li><li>Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing HR policies and procedures </li><li>Knowledge of or ability to learn more complex reporting tools (such as Access, Tableau) </li></ul> <p>Additional Information:</p> <p>North Shore Community College is an affirmative action/equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, ethnicity, sex, disability, religion, age, veteran status, genetic information, pregnancy or related conditions, gender identity, sex characteristics, sex stereotypes or sexual orientation in its programs and activities as required by Title IX of the Educational Amendments of 1972, the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990, Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, and other applicable statutes and college policies.
