include but are not limited to Obtain representative samples of construction materialsReview plans and specifications for project requirementsPerform inspection and testing for rebar epoxy concrete masonry asphalt and other itemsAssist in the lab with materials testingProvide accurate test reports and daily diary to be submitted prior to leaving the jobsiteTrack time and supplies for the projects workedTrack training hours on provided documentationReturn calls or email within a reasonable time periodMaintain a professional imageMaintain assigned gear in clean and operable conditionComplete timecards and expense reports at the end of each shiftAssist with the Pocatello and Idaho Falls workload and surrounding areasPerform testing in the presence of the ITD IA per the WAQTC procedureComplete all required safety reportingMinimum requirements Possess current WAQTC qualification in aggregate in place density and asphaltRead and follow proceduresMust be able to lift 50 lbs stand for extended periods of time and work outdoorsA valid driving license with a clean driving record proof of insuranceThe ability to pass a pre employment drug test and random tests after hireMust have a professional work ethic willingness to learn and attention to detailMust be able to communicate both verbally and in writingWork in a cooperative and courteous manner with the public contractors supervisors and other department staffAble to work weekends early morning or late evening hoursPossess current ACI qualification in field testingHigh School diplomaGEDTechnical requirements Candidate will be required to pursue and maintain relevant certifications such as IQPs Individual testing qualifications and ICCsGeneral computer skills such as Word Excel Outlook PowerPointAdvanced understanding of construction materials testingBasic mathematic and writing skillsCommunication through phone calls and emailKnowledge of ITDs reporting system and specification
