<p>This position reports to the Customer Service Manager.  Ensures the safety of all wall climbers and assist in teaching classes and working parties/rental/special events</p> <ul> <li>Development of climbing wall programs, classes and special events. </li><li>Develop and implement all climbing wall protocol (rules, regulations, and procedures). </li><li>Ensure proper supervision of climbing wall. </li><li>Train and schedule climbing wall staff and belayers for all activities, groups, classes, and events. </li><li>Schedule and staff private groups, classes, birthday parties, special events </li><li>Maintenance and inspection of climbing wall and all equipment, including autobelays, ropes, caribeaners, and handholds. </li><li>Keep accurate records/reports and complete all written records as required. </li><li>Maintain waivers for the use of the climbing wall. </li><li>Maintain cleanliness of all areas of use in and around The Centre and care properly for all equipment and supplies. </li><li>Assist in promoting and marketing climbing wall programs and events. </li><li>Wear appropriate staff uniform. </li><li>Attend all staff meetings and in-service trainings. </li><li>Keep informed of all wall activities, programs and classes. </li><li>Abide by all City of Elgin rules and regulations as outlined in the Employee Manual. </li><li>Minimum 21 years of age. </li><li>Prior experience working an indoor climbing environment required. </li><li>Self-motivated; able to implement, evaluate and suggest solutions or improvements to programs. </li><li>Ability to train and supervise climbing wall instructors and belayers. </li><li>Ability to enforce all rules and regulations in a professional manner. </li><li>CPR/First Aid certified within 3 months of employment. </li></ul> <p>Hours: Varies</p>
