All In.</p> <p>How do McCarthy partners define our culture?</p> <ul> <li> <p>We Live Our Core Values: We do whatever it takes to deliver on our promises with honesty and integrity.</p> </li><li> <p>We are Employee Owned: We are personally invested in building the things people need in our communities.</p> </li><li> <p>We Feel Like a Family: We value genuine connections and help each other succeed in an inclusive environment.</p> </li><li> <p>We are Builders: We respect the work we do and everyone who helps make it happen safely.</p> </li></ul> <p>POSITION SUMMARY</p> <p>The Estimating Manager has the primary responsibility of evaluating bid specifications/drawings, to understand the size/scope of the work and complete a comprehensive project estimate/proposal for all targeted projects.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES</p> <ul> <li>Prepare, maintain status of and review bid documents, submitting bids and estimates in a timely manner </li><li>Prepare complete, accurate quantity take-offs to build estimates </li><li>Assist with execution plans and win strategies </li><li>Prepare a thorough, detailed and well-annotated estimate </li><li>Prepare a thorough, comprehensive proposal, including bid forms and supporting documentation </li><li>Subcontractor & Vendor solicitation and management during preconstruction process </li><li>Participate in peer bid review and contract review for compliance with bid proposal </li><li>Follow-up with prior bid projects on a weekly basis and update status at weekly estimating meeting </li><li>Assist project manager if questions arise throughout the project about the estimate </li><li>Cultivate existing client relationships and work with Business Development in building new relationships and targeting opportunities </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in construction management, Architecture or Engineering, and/or 5-10 years' experience with estimating, design management and/or field management </li><li>In-depth knowledge of construction principles/practices required </li><li>Proven experience estimating self-performed earthwork and/or site utilities </li><li>Experience working with MS Excel, On-Screen Take-Off, HCSS estimating software, and AGTEK Earthwork preferred </li><li>Experience dealing with subcontracts, subcontractors and/or self-perform work </li><li>Self-starter, highly motivated with the ability to build trust and influence others </li><li>Demonstrate behaviors consistent with McCarthy core values while maintaining a "value added" approach to preconstruction </li><li>Strong communication skills with ability to communicate with varied audiences. </li></ul> <p>McCarthy is proud to be an equal opportunity employer, including disability and protected veteran status.</p> <p>NOTICE TO EXTERNAL SEARCH FIRMS: McCarthy's Talent Acquisition Team is the only authorized representative permitted to engage with external search firms, staffing agencies, or other third-party recruiting partners.
