This role involves conducting asbestos and lead paint inspections, overseeing remediation processes, and performing field monitoring of abatement projects in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct environmental investigations and assessments. </li><li>Ensure regulatory compliance related to environmental standards. </li><li>Perform asbestos and lead paint inspections and oversee remediation processes. </li><li>Monitor abatement projects in the field, adhering to applicable regulations. </li><li>Conduct XRF testing and accurately record data. </li><li>Provide technical support and prepare detailed reports. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related field. </li><li>5+ years of experience in Environmental Science. </li><li>NYSDOL Asbestos Inspector Certification. </li><li>Asbestos Project Monitor Certification. </li><li>Proficiency in air monitoring. </li><li>OSHA 40 Hazwoper Certification. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Experience in technical support and report writing. </li><li>Air Sampling Technician certification. </li><li>Proficiency in environmental remediation and inspections. </li><li>OSHA 30 certification. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>The position involves traveling across projects located throughout the five boroughs, requiring site-to-site mobility. You will work with a collaborative team of 5-7 professionals, performing a variety of environmental tasks including air monitoring, regulatory compliance, and remediation oversight.
