<p>Staffmark is currently seeking an experienced MIG Welder to join a top-tier manufacturing team in Trussville, AL. This role involves fitting and welding metal parts based on production drawings and specifications using MIG welding techniques. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented, safety-conscious, and committed to producing high-quality work.</p> <p>Pay: $22-$30 per hour (based on experience)</p> <p>Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday-Friday | 3:30 PM - 1:00 AM</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Interpret blueprints, shop travelers, and work instructions to complete welds </li><li>Set appropriate machine parameters based on material type </li><li>Perform high-quality MIG welds that are strong, clean, and consistent </li><li>Use fixtures and follow procedures to ensure proper assembly </li><li>Operate robotic weld cells as assigned </li><li>Inspect finished welds to confirm alignment with quality standards </li><li>Maintain welding tools, machines, and workstations </li><li>Keep work area clean, organized, and free from hazards </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Minimum 3 years of welding experience or vocational training in welding </li><li>Proficient in MIG welding (vertical, flat, overhead) with strong penetration </li><li>Skilled in reading blueprints, tape measures, angle finders, and AWS symbols </li><li>Able to use acetylene torches and basic welding tools </li><li>Strong math skills, including working with metrics and angles </li><li>Ability to operate forklifts and overhead cranes </li><li>Comfortable welding in tight or awkward positions, including from ladders </li><li>Must be able to work full-time, 10-hour shifts, 5 days per week </li><li>Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs </li></ul> <p>Why You'll Love This Job:</p> <p>We offer a comprehensive benefits package to support your health, financial goals, and work-life balance.
