<p>Position Summary</p> <p>As the Unit Clerk, you will provide administrative support services to the assigned unit and other MMHI units when needed. You will be responsible for:</p> <ul> <li>record keeping duties for both patients and staff. </li><li>daily scheduling of nursing staff for the unit. </li><li>monitoring and processing timesheets for unit staff. </li><li>admitting patients. </li><li>maintaining patients' financial accounts. </li><li>keeping inventory of unit supplies. </li><li>assisting in patient emergency situations and the overall cleanliness of the unit. </li></ul> <p>Salary Information</p> <p>The starting pay for these positions is $20.02 per hour, plus excellent benefits. A 12-month probationary period is required.</p> <p>Pay for current or former state employees is set based upon the rules that apply to compensation for the applicable transaction. These positions are in the classification, Office Operations Associate and are in pay schedule and range 02/10.</p> <p>Job Details</p> <p>All applicants will be required to allow the DHS to conduct a background check to determine whether the circumstances of any convictions may be related to the job being filled.</p> <p>All appointees will be required to receive a TB test, which will be administered by MMHI or medical personnel approved by the facility prior to their start date.</p> <p>DHS does not sponsor work visas for these positions, thus, in compliance with federal law, selected candidates will be required to verify eligibility to work in the United States by completing the required I-9 form upon hire.</p> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>Minimally qualified applicants will have both of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience providing administrative support including typing and emailing correspondence, responding to inquiries, record keeping, or assisting with updating procedures. </li><li>Experience conducting basic finance activities such as money management (receiving, recording, and/or withdrawing money), performing money calculations, or reconciling receipts in a business setting. </li></ul> <p>Well-qualified applicants will also have one or more of the following:</p> <ul> <li>Experience performing staff timekeeping functions such as reviewing staff schedule changes, timekeeping functions, reconciling timecards and reports, entering data into an electronic scheduling program, printing and posting staff schedules, etc. </li><li>Experience working with confidential information and maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information. </li><li>Experience working in a hospital, medical clinic, or similar 24/7 facility. </li></ul> <p>Your letter of qualifications is limited to one (1) page and your resume is limited to 2 (two) pages.
