<p>UPMC Harrisburg Neuro Interventional is currently looking to recruit an Interventional Technologist to support the UPMC Harrisburg Hospital.</p> <p>This Neuro Interventional Tech job consist of preforming the scrub and circulating roles covering a wide variety of Neuro cases including not limited to MMA gluing, Pipeline, Stroke, Carotid intervention, Diagnostic imaging, using 3 and 4D imaging interop along with post processing, and Aneurysm coiling.</p> <p>Schedule:</p> <p>Either 8 or 10 hours shifts options from 7:00am to 3:30pm, 7:30am to 4:00om, or 7:00am to 5:30pm</p> <p>Overnight and Weekend call with a 30-minute response time.</p> <p>Call schedule is currently 1 weekday and every 4th weekend.</p> <p>Purpose:</p> <p>In addition to performing imaging procedures at an advanced level, provides technical expertise to multiple business units. Functions as a resource to staff to provide orientation, continuing education and protocol development.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Creates and implements new training programs, where applicable, and assists with the startup of new offsite locations. Responsibilities for new locations include, but are not limited to, working on reporting systems, obtaining appropriate images and effectively communicating with attending physicians as well as co-workers and patients </li><li>Responsible for tech quality assurance program and the reviewing and updating of protocols alongside of or in place of the lead and advanced technologist. Assumes leadership role in training staff on new equipment and supplies. </li><li>Assist with accreditation responsibilities. </li><li>Attends advanced training sessions and seminars in order to maintain industry standards in imaging techniques and disseminates information to imaging departmental leadership and as a part of new hire orientation. </li><li>Serves as a technical resource to technologists on a daily operational basis. Assist technologists with board reviews, continuing education needs, and participates as a peer delegate in staff annual performance reviews. </li><li>Performs all job responsibilities of IR Tech II Advanced. </li><li>Leads training on new techniques, protocols, and software applications and collaborates with proceduralists and researchers where applicable to identify new techniques and problem solving resolutions. Assist with research studies where applicable. </li></ul> <p>Graduate of an approved AMA School of Radiologic technology. Minimum of 3 years IR experience require. Teaching experience not required. Must have obtained a performance review rating of strong/solid/good on most recent performance review to be eligible for promotion.</p> <p>Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:</p> <p>ARRT certified as a Radiologic Technologist.</p> <p>Secondary registration in VI required or equivalent.</p> <p>CPR or BLS Required.</p> <p>CPR required based on AHA standards that include both a didactic and skills demonstration component within 30 days of hire</p> <ul> <li>ARRT Certificate </li><li>Basic Life Support (BLS) OR Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) </li><li>Act 34 </li></ul> <p>UPMC is an Equal Opportunity Employer/Disability/Veteran</p>
