<p>GENERAL SUMMARY</p> <p>The AVP Employee Relations Officer is responsible for assisting with investigations, conducting fact-finding meetings, and performing leave administration. Under the supervision of the ER Manager, AVP Employee Relations Officer provides recommendations to managers regarding general complaints outside the EthicsPoint system.</p> <p>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS</p> <ul> <li>Assists in the investigation of general team member complaints or concerns outside the EthicsPoint system ensuring compliance with Bank policies and procedures. </li><li>Conducts effective and objective fact-finding meetings. Partners with ER Manager, Legal, or outside counsel as needed/required to reduce legal risks and ensure regulatory compliance. </li><li>Drafts closing memos and investigation reports. </li><li>Conducts exit interviews for voluntary resignations including retirements. Tracks trends and provides turnover metrics. May assist in involuntary terminations. </li><li>Works closely with management and team members to improve working relationships, morale, engagement and retention. </li><li>Presents Inspirational Leadership Training modules - 3-4 per year - to all people managers. </li><li>Manages requests for medical accommodations, the interactive dialogue process, and requests for ergonomic assessments and equipment. </li><li>Administers leaves of absences for team members in all nine states in partnership with Payroll and Benefits business partners. </li><li>Stays current on HR trends to develop solutions using current best practices in the field. </li><li>Ensures a strong understanding of laws and regulations to help the company stay in compliance. </li><li>Manages reports and projects assigned to include an affirmative action plan and audit requests. </li><li>Manages the Workplace Violence Prevention Program. </li><li>Manages data exfiltration from Information Security and completes fact-finding interviews with team members and prepares corrective action. </li><li>Works with people managers to prepare performance counseling documentation which would include Performance Improvement Plans, written warnings, and professional expectations memos. </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS</p> <p>Education:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Human Resources preferred. </li></ul> <p>Experience:</p> <ul> <li>3-5 years of experience in human resources, preferably experience in employee relations and/or leave administration. </li></ul> <p>Skills/Ability:</p> <ul> <li>Strong verbal and written communication skills. Familiarity with all HR disciplines, as well as current best practices and HR trends. Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of team members required. Strong attention to detail and analytical problem-solving skills a must. Able to independently manage projects. Computer skills in Word and Excel. Ability to travel to various sites as needed. </li></ul> <p>OTHER DETAILS</p> <p>$75K - $90K / year</p> <p>Pay determined based on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and location.</p> <p>This position may be eligible for a discretionary bonus.</p>
