<p>South Shore Technical is a Chapter 74 vocational technical public high school serving grades 9-12 from nine surrounding communities, seeking a Substitute School Nurse to serve as an on-call, per diem substitute when our School Nurse is absent, beginning with the 26-27 school year, as early as September 1, 2026.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>Massachusetts Registered Nurse licensure. </li><li>DESE licensure as a School Nurse (preferred) or eligible for a licensure waiver: (Bachelor's degree, Massachusetts Registered Nurse license plus two full years of employment as an RN in a child health, community health, or other relevant clinical nursing setting. </li><li>Current certification in CPR/AED from recognized provider. </li></ul> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Provide nursing services to student or staff in need, on a day to day, as needed basis. </li><li>Assessment, triage and treatment of acute illness. </li><li>Administer medications. </li><li>Communicate with parents, faculty/staff and healthcare providers as needed. </li><li>Provide emergency care in cases of injury or sudden illness. </li><li>Arrange transportation when necessary. </li><li>Maintain student Health Records as needed. </li><li>Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by Building Adminstrators. </li></ul> <p>Compensation: $240 per diem.</p> <p>Funding Source: Budget</p>
