<p>Job Title: Test Engineer</p> <p>Job Description</p> <p>Join our team as a Test Engineer at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD. You will support the Positioning, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) Division contract as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in the evaluation, testing, and characterization of next-generation PNT systems.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li>Conduct tests to evaluate system performance in both benign and GPS threat environments. </li><li>Operate a GPS simulator to assess system performance under complex Electronic Warfare (EW) threats. </li><li>Utilize test equipment such as power supplies, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and frequency counters to evaluate various aspects of system performance. </li><li>Support local testing activities in the PNT lab and surrounding areas, including equipment setup, troubleshooting, configuration for data collection, and data analysis. </li><li>Participate in field test events, managing equipment setup, troubleshooting, data collection configuration, and analysis. </li><li>Debug and enhance data analysis tools. </li><li>Develop and operate MATLAB programs for quick look analysis during testing to ensure system performance. </li><li>Analyze data from integrated GPS receivers, Inertial Measurement Units, and other sensors. </li><li>Evaluate data related to position accuracy, confidence levels, and signal integrity. </li><li>Write technical reports on findings. </li><li>Present results to external stakeholders and defend conclusions with technical data analysis. </li><li>Assist in defining and documenting system requirements for current and future systems. </li></ul> <p>Essential Skills</p> <ul> <li>Detail-oriented with strong technical, verbal, and written communication skills. </li><li>Presentation and briefing skills to top-level managers. </li><li>Proficiency in MATLAB is required. </li><li>Active Secret clearance is required. </li></ul> <p>Additional Skills & Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Proficiency in Python is preferred. </li><li>Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related scientific/technical discipline is required. </li><li>A minimum of five years of related experience is required. </li></ul> <p>Work Environment</p> <p>This position is located on-site at Aberdeen Proving Ground, MD, a Test & Evaluation center for the U.S. Army. The role supports a fully funded, stable program for the U.S. Army's PM PNT (Positioning, Navigation, and Timing).</p> <p>Pay and Benefits</p> <p>The pay range for this position is $105000.00 - $127500.00/yr.</p> <p>QED Systems, LLC (QED) is a Small Business founded at Fort Monmouth New Jersey in 2005.
