<p>Responsibilities:</p> <p>RESPONSIBLE FOR:</p> <p>Under the direction of the Director, the manager oversees departmental operations of the Laboratory.</p> <p>Performs administrative duties including oversight and compliance of point of care testing and affiliated</p> <p>offsite areas. Monitors operations to ensure safe, efficient and quality performance standards for</p> <p>employees, patients and visitors. Collaboration with nursing, administrative, medical and other staff to</p> <p>coordinate patient care activities will be necessary to support the facilities mission statement, achieve</p> <p>customer satisfaction, and identify system problems as opportunities for improvement.</p> <p>Qualifications:</p> <p>MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:</p> <p>Bachelors Degree from a recognized college or university in Medical Technology or a closely related field</p> <p>is required.</p> <p>MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:</p> <p>Five (5) years of clinical experience, including at least two (2) years with supervisory responsibilities, is</p> <p>required, preferably in an acute care hospital setting. Demonstrated clinical competency in the specialty</p> <p>area applying for.</p> <p>MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:</p> <p>Management of Clinical Laboratory only:</p> <p>Certification in medical technology; certification as a medical technologist or medical laboratory scientist</p> <p>by the American Society of Clinical Pathologists (ASCP), AMT (American Medical Technologists) or AAB</p> <p>(American Association of Bioanalysts) required.
