Together, we can forge a brighter future, one that prioritizes safety and sustainability.</p> <p>DESCRIPTION OF WORK</p> <p>In this role, you will ensure compliance with Commonwealth statutes and the rules and regulations as related to and governing the management of solid waste, specifically, the Waste Transportation Safety Act, Solid Waste Management Act, Municipal Waste Planning, Recycling and Waste Reduction Act, Waste Tire Recycling Act, Covered Device Recycling Act, and the Department's Municipal, Residual and Hazardous Waste regulations. You will document the outcomes of complaints, inspections, and compliance assessments resulting from these investigations. Your participation in the Waste Hauler Inspection Program will be essential, and you will also provide the public with information about departmental functions, laws, regulations, and procedures. Furthermore, you will prepare letters, reports, and other correspondence to facilitate communication with facility operators, the public, and departmental staff.</p> <p>Work Schedule and Additional Information:</p> <ul> <li>Full-time employment </li><li>Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch. </li><li>Telework: You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time up to 3 days per week. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania.
