The division supplies stamped metal fasteners and engineered fastener assemblies that leverage our deep-draw stamping technologies. The annual revenue for the division is approximately $160M. Locations include Gallatin, TN, Lexington, KY & Naugatuck, CT.</p> <p>The Division drives profitability by leveraging its innovative solutions and application engineering.? In addition to ITW's industry leading research and development capabilities, StampTech Fasteners TM enhances our customers' competitive advantage by maintaining advanced engineering and manufacturing facilities in North America, exchanging product, process, and benchmarking information with sister units worldwide and continually improving processes, material, and designs to ensure every product provides value and meets customer expectations.</p> <p>Job Summary:</p> <p>The Manufacturing Process Specialist will report to the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor and will be responsible for continuous improvement project planning and execution throughout the facility. This role involves analyzing workflows, identifying inefficiencies, and implementing solutions to enhance productivity, safety, and product quality. This individual will play a key role in driving operational excellence through continuous improvement initiatives, optimizing factory layouts and leading corrective action processes. Continuous improvement initiatives will revolve around safety, quality and production. This specialist will also function as a supporting resource for the maintenance and operations team.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Evaluate and optimize manufacturing processes to improve efficiency and reduce waste. </li><li>Analyze production data and develop strategies for process improvements. </li><li>Collaborate with engineering, quality, and production teams to implement best practices. </li><li>Develop and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and work instructions. </li><li>Monitor and ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies. </li><li>Identify root causes of process issues and implement corrective actions. </li><li>Support the introduction of new products and technologies into production. </li><li>Train and mentor production staff on process improvements and best practices. </li><li>Assist in cost reduction initiatives while maintaining product quality and safety standards. </li><li>Conduct regular audits and process assessments to identify improvement opportunities. </li><li>Identify and act on continuous improvement initiatives with emphasis on metal stamping, Heat Treat and vision inspection process improvements. </li><li>Identify opportunities for process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and increase productivity </li><li>Develop standardized work instruction, setup procedures and support documentation. </li><li>Comply with all environmentally safe practices and regulations. </li><li>Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications:</p> <ul> <li>3+ years of experience in manufacturing process optimization or a similar role. </li><li>Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and continuous improvement methodologies. </li><li>Experience with manufacturing software and data analysis tools. </li><li>Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. </li><li>Strong communication and teamwork abilities. </li><li>Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic manufacturing environment. </li><li>Familiarity with industry safety regulations and compliance standards. </li><li>Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher). </li><li>Minimum of 3 years' experience in relevant manufacturing processes and automotive industry, preferably tier 1 </li><li>Successful experience within a Tier 1 or 2 Automotive Supplier manufacturing facility </li><li>Advanced knowledge of Automotive OEM quality standards, systems, tools, and processes </li><li>Working knowledge of ISO/TS16949 requirements </li><li>Bachelor's degree in an Engineering Discipline or equivalent/relevant experience </li><li>Metallurgist certification or equivalent experience preferred. </li><li>Advanced computer skills using Microsoft Office </li><li>Strong problem-solving skills </li></ul>
