This role ensures a safe, inclusive, and enriching environment for students while supervising staff, coordinating programming, and maintaining strong communication with families.</p> <p>Goal of the Role</p> <p>To deliver a high-quality summer learning experience that strengthens foundational skills, supports student confidence, and prepares K6 learners for success in the upcoming school year.</p> <p>Key Responsibilities</p> <p>Program Leadership & Planning</p> <ul> <li>Design and oversee a comprehensive summer school program aligned with K6 curriculum standards </li><li>Establish program goals focused on literacy, numeracy, enrichment, and student engagement </li><li>Develop schedules, staffing plans, and daily operational procedures </li><li>Ensure compliance with school board policies, safety regulations, and applicable guidelines </li></ul> <p>Staff Supervision & Support</p> <ul> <li>Supervise teachers and support staff </li><li>Provide orientation, training, and ongoing coaching to staff </li><li>Foster a collaborative and positive team culture </li></ul> <p>Student Experience & Well-Being</p> <ul> <li>Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students </li><li>Oversee student placement, attendance, and engagement strategies </li><li>Address student behavioral concerns in collaboration with staff and families </li><li>Ensure appropriate supports for diverse learners, including students with special needs </li></ul> <p>Curriculum & Instruction</p> <ul> <li>Support teachers in delivering high-quality, engaging instruction </li><li>Monitor classroom practices to ensure alignment with program goals </li><li>Provide resources and guidance to enhance teaching and learning </li><li>Use data to assess student progress and inform program adjustments </li></ul> <p>Family & Community Communication</p> <ul> <li>Serve as the primary point of contact for parents/guardians </li><li>Communicate program expectations, updates, and student progress </li><li>Address concerns and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner </li></ul> <p>Operations & Logistics</p> <ul> <li>Manage daily school operations, including arrival/dismissal, transitions, and supervision </li><li>Coordinate materials, facilities, and technology needs </li><li>Oversee student safety procedures, including emergency protocols </li><li>Maintain accurate records related to attendance, incidents, and program outcomes </li></ul> <p>Program Evaluation</p> <ul> <li>Collect and analyze data on student achievement and program effectiveness </li><li>Prepare reports and recommendations for future summer programming </li><li>Lead staff debriefs to identify successes and areas for improvement </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's degree in Education required; Master's degree in Educational Leadership or related field preferred </li><li>Valid teaching certification; administrative certification preferred </li><li>Experience working with elementary-aged students (K6) </li><li>Prior leadership or administrative experience in a school or summer program setting </li></ul> <p>Skills & Competencies</p> <ul> <li>Strong leadership and organizational skills </li><li>Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities </li><li>Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment </li><li>Knowledge of elementary curriculum and instructional best practices </li></ul> <p>Working Conditions</p> <ul> <li>Full-time, temporary position during the summer program </li><li>On-site presence required during program hours </li><li>Active supervision of students and staff throughout the day </li></ul> <p>Working Schedule</p> <ul> <li>6/22/2026 7/31/26 </li><li>Monday through Friday (specific Fridays off will be communicated) </li><li>8:00a. 2:00p. </li></ul> <p>Compensation - $50/hr.</p>
