<p>Viking Fire Protection Group in Des Moines, IA is looking to expand our team! Join our team of highly skilled technicians and support staff, a team that understands the importance of fire protection. By providing world-class fire protection services and cutting-edge technology, we have earned the trust of our clients to safeguard their property against fire damage. Help us continue delivering excellence to our customers.</p> <p>Responsibilities:</p> <ul> <li>Inspecting Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarm, & Kitchen Hood systems </li><li>Servicing Fire Extinguishers & Kitchen Hood Systems </li><li>Training provided </li></ul> <p>Required Skills/Abilities:</p> <ul> <li>Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. </li><li>Ability to read installation manuals, system guides, blueprints and building plans </li><li>Proficient with hand and power tools </li></ul> <p>Education and Experience</p> <ul> <li>High school diploma or G.E.D </li><li>Will provide training for licensing </li></ul> <p>Physical Requirements:</p> <ul> <li>Prolonged periods standing, kneeling, bending, and climbing ladders </li><li>Regularly ascend/descend ladders up to 16 feet </li><li>Physically able to install system hardware and wiring </li><li>Must be able to lift 50 pounds at a time to a height of 3-4 feet </li><li>Perform general job duties at an elevated height via aerial lift </li></ul> <p>Pay Range</p> <ul> <li>$15-$20/hr depending on experience and abilities </li></ul> <p>Benefits</p> <ul> <li>PTO, Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Long-term disability, 401k with match, EPSP </li></ul> <p>EEO statement/Affirmative Action:</p> <ul> <li>Viking Fire Protection Group is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of religion, disability, protected veteran status, age, sex, race, color, national origin, or any other characteristic protected by law. </li><li>Viking Fire Protection Group complies with federal and state disability laws and will make reasonable accommodations for applicants and qualified employees with disabilities.
