Together we are actualizing our vision to be the most beloved brand for homeowners in their next chapter.</p> <p>To learn more about us, visit www.financeofamerica.com</p> <p>Purpose of Role</p> <p>The VP of Finance of Technology is responsible for overseeing the Technology financial planning and budget process, coordinating with project teams and managers to produce estimates of projected technology needs, and providing thought-leadership on innovative ways to cost optimize across the Finance of America technology estate.</p> <p>Expectations</p> <ul> <li>Leads a team of analysts to refine and continuously optimize the operating expense budget for Technology. </li><li>Leads scrum teams focused on finance technology as the Product Owner. </li><li>Designs product strategy for technology portfolio in support of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Investment Officer initiatives. </li><li>Partners with stakeholders and customers across the organization to inform the finance technology product vision, strategy, features, and prioritization. </li><li>Conducts industry and market research, including hands-on, in-depth knowledge of the finance technology ecosystem and maintain technical analysis of comparative strengths and weaknesses. </li><li>Provides financial support and analysis on a recurring and ad-hoc basis to support Technology investments. </li><li>Oversees allocation processes internal to Technology, coming in and out of Technology, and educate leadership and teams on opportunities to streamline and/or automate. </li><li>Conduct enterprise-wide analysis of strategic technology decisions and produce optionality to executive leadership to guide company investment in forward-leaning initiatives </li><li>Serve as a key thought-leader on cost optimization across the company's technology estate, including evaluation of web3 and blockchain technologies to innovatively refine internal processes </li><li>Performs other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications - Education Requirements</p> <ul> <li>MBA - Master of Business Administration </li></ul> <p>Qualifications - Experience/Skills/Competencies</p> <ul> <li>A minimum of eight years consulting, finance, technology finance, or other analytical or operations role experience, with a solid understanding of financial principles; including five years of management experience. </li><li>Direct experience conducting data analysis from multiple/complex sources, preparing financial models, and communicating insights in compelling and concise presentations. </li><li>Macro-level technology experience and working in highly technical industry with complex interrelationships and rapid pace of innovation. </li><li>Demonstrate curiosity and willingness to learn about technology and technology-driven businesses; direct experience preferred. </li><li>Leadership experience building, coaching, mentoring, and managing large teams of people. </li><li>Experience with Mergers and Acquisitions processes, requirements, and due diligence assessments. </li><li>Experience working with and mentoring startup leadership to build and grow revenue-generating products. </li><li>Knowledge of resource management principles and techniques. </li><li>Ability to analyze problems to identify the root cause and propose feasible solutions. </li><li>Ability to multi-task, prioritize and meet deadlines with minimal supervision . </li><li>Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality and discretion in all aspects of position and business relationships. </li><li>Skill communicating with executive audiences. </li><li>Ability to quickly learn different technology platforms and assess them for quality and effectiveness. </li></ul> <p>Licenses/Certifications</p> <ul> <li>Certified Scrum Product Owner - Preferred </li></ul> <p>Compensation</p> <p>The base salary range for this position is ($180,000 - $215,000) inclusive of all geographical differences in the labor market. The base salary for the position will be determined based on factors such as the candidate's work location, skills, education, and experience. In addition to those factors, we believe in the importance of pay equity and consider the internal equity of our current team members in determining any final offer.
