<p>Overview of Company</p> <p>Perry Ellis International, Inc. represents a diverse portfolio of lifestyle apparel brands. The Company, through its wholly owned subsidiaries owns and licenses nationally and with a brand portfolio of over 42 Brands domestically and internationally recognized brands including: Perry Ellis, Original Penguin by Munsingwear, Laundry by Shelli Segal, Rafaella, Cubavera, Ben Hogan, Savane, Grand Slam, John Henry, Manhattan, Axist, and Farah. The Company enhances its roster of brands by licensing trademarks from third parties, including: Nike for swimwear, and Callaway, PGA TOUR, and Jack Nicklaus for golf apparel.</p> <p>SUMMARY</p> <p>Assist in managing the development and execution of fashion products in accordance with agreed upon design, pricing and brand strategy for Perry Ellis sportswear.</p> <p>RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Support the Director of Merchandising in all phases of product development and merchandising strategy </li><li>Order, check in and distribute samples </li><li>Actively research the competition to identify key items, trends and propose pricing strategies </li><li>Interface with all functional areas of the business (design, sales, sourcing, marketing) to maintain successful workflow </li><li>Learn to analyze retail sales with planning and design team to identify opportunities </li><li>Follow up with marketing on all brand related projects </li><li>Create and maintain line sheets, CAD boards, and pricing tools for cross-functional meetings </li><li>Upload LDPs into costing system </li><li>Coordinate meetings dates and times </li><li>Assist in reviewing samples with Design and Product Development to ensure products meet quality requirements and target margin </li><li>Participates in merchandising strategies and seasonal line plans to build profitable assortments that will meet internal margin goals. </li></ul> <p>SKILLS:</p> <ul> <li>Strong written and verbal communication skills </li><li>Ability to prioritize and multitask </li><li>Strong analytical and problem solving skills </li><li>Proficient in Google Workspace (Sheets, Docs, Slides. etc.) </li><li>Knowledge of retail math </li><li>Detail oriented </li><li>Organizational skills required </li><li>Strong follow-up skills required </li></ul> <p>REQUIREMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Bachelor's Degree </li><li>Merchandising or related experience is preferred (1-2 years) </li></ul> <p>Salary offered will be commensurate with experience.
