We want your knowledge and expertise!</p> <p>Job Summary and Qualifications</p> <p>Nuclear Medical Technologist</p> <p>Our imaging teams are a committed, caring group of professionals. We are currently seeking a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Nuclear Medicine Technologist at Fawcett Hospital, you will perform diagnostic and therapeutic technical procedures utilizing radiopharmaceuticals in a careful, compassionate and respectful manner.</p> <p>We prioritize patient care. If you are dedicated to caring for the well-being of others, this could be your next career opportunity.</p> <p>Your tasks and responsibilities as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist may include but are not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Use radioactive isotopes to perform organ and body scans </li><li>Prepare radioactive isotopes for administration to patients in accordance with physicians orders; May administer and record dosages as well </li><li>Perform diagnostic studies on patients using scanners or scintillation cameras to detect radiation emitted and to produce image of organ on photographic film </li><li>Position patients and adjust immobilization devices </li><li>Compassionately explain procedures to patients </li><li>Monitor, record and communicate utilizing computerized documentation (MEDITECH) </li><li>Assist with transporting patients as needed </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li>Graduate of an accredited and AMA-approved Nuclear Medicine Technology training program </li><li>Clear/active Florida Department of Health licensure (CRT) </li><li>Minimum of one (1) to three (3) years of recent experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist </li><li>Valid ARRT (N) and/or NMTCB certification required </li><li>Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification upon hire; ACLS within 6 months of hire </li><li>Ability to perform work that requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs </li></ul> <p>HCA Florida Fawcett Hospital is a 237-bed acute-care hospital serving Charlotte County.
