We strongly believe our people are our most important asset, and we strive every day to make Murphy a great place to work as we build our clients' visions.</p> <p>Job Summary</p> <p>The Service Account Manager is responsible for leading the sales and full lifecycle management of mechanical services, including both HVAC and plumbing, for commercial and industrial clients. This role blends relationship development, technical solution selling, and coordinated project oversight to ensure work is scoped correctly, executed smoothly, and aligned with each customer's needs. The Account Manager maintains ownership of their portfolio by using inspection findings, collaborating with field leaders, and keeping accurate records in the CRM to support renewals, identify new opportunities, and develop long-term service strategies. As the primary point of contact for the customer, this position is accountable for portfolio growth, operational alignment, and delivering a consistent, high-quality experience.</p> <p>Duties & Essential Job Functions</p> <p>Responsibilities include, but not limited to:</p> <ul> <li>Create positive working relationships and maintain regular contact with assigned accounts and prospective clients. </li><li>Build partnering relationships with owners, property managers, and decision-makers responsible for mechanical and plumbing maintenance and repair services. </li><li>Develop and execute business plans for defined targets, including methods, contact strategies, and short- and long-term goals for contract, quoted, and T&M work. </li><li>Identify customer objectives, operational requirements, and pain points. </li><li>Position renewable service agreements as a valuable and cost-effective partnership whenever feasible. </li><li>Create competitive, high-quality, and timely estimates and proposals. </li><li>Assist with developing and presenting marketing materials. </li><li>Seek in-house technical support as needed. </li><li>Maintain strong working relationships with Service Operations personnel. </li><li>Track renewal dates and ensure proactive communication. </li><li>Act as the customer's advocate when issues arise. </li><li>Monitor sales activities and pipeline health. </li><li>Keep supervisor informed of account status. </li><li>Support the collection process. </li><li>Attend and present at relevant trade shows. </li><li>Promote Murphy's full range of offerings. </li><li>Perform additional responsibilities as assigned. </li></ul> <p>We Are Looking for Someone Like You</p> <ul> <li>Experience in related field with strong emphasis on business or an equivalent amount of technical training and practical experience, or, a minimum 2 years of mechanical service, construction, or related experience. </li></ul> <p>Skills, Knowledge, Abilities & Experience</p> <ul> <li>Strong understanding of Murphy's policies and capabilities. </li><li>Excellent relationship-building and communication skills. </li><li>Ability to negotiate and close sales. </li><li>Professional presence and communication capability. </li><li>Self-motivated and independent with strong teamwork skills. </li><li>Ability to manage competing priorities. </li><li>Strong work ethic aligned with Murphy values. </li><li>Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM software such as Salesforce. </li><li>Ability to meet jobsite access requirements. </li></ul> <p>Working conditions and physical efforts</p> <ul> <li>Travel Requirements: <10% </li><li>Work involves moderate exposure to elements, such as hot/cold temperatures, dirt, dust, and/or loud noises. </li><li>Work environment involves some exposure to construction, mechanical and electrical-related hazards or physical risks, which require following basic safety precautions. </li><li>Moderate physical effort.
