<p>This is a direct-hire position with our client. The role is open to candidates local to the Hartford, CT area, or remote/hybrid with monthly travel to Hartford. Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.</p> <p>The Business Intelligence Developer partners with business and IT teams to turn data into actionable insights, support reporting and analytics, and advance the organization's evolution toward AI-driven decision making. This role focuses on modernizing BI capabilities while maintaining the value of existing reporting and dashboards.</p> <p>Responsibilities</p> <ul> <li> <p>Develop and maintain BI reports and dashboards that support business decision making</p> </li><li> <p>Partner with business stakeholders to understand key questions and define analytical requirements</p> </li><li> <p>Translate reporting needs into scalable data and analytics solutions</p> </li><li> <p>Support the evolution from traditional BI reporting toward AI- and chatbot-driven insights</p> </li><li> <p>Analyze existing reports and address technical and data quality debt</p> </li><li> <p>Collaborate with IT, development, and project management teams</p> </li><li> <p>Proactively identify opportunities to improve reporting, analytics, and data workflows</p> </li></ul> <p>Technical Environment</p> <ul> <li> <p>AWS data services such as Glue, Athena, Redshift, DynamoDB, and S3</p> </li><li> <p>BI and visualization tools including AWS QuickSight and Microsoft Power BI</p> </li><li> <p>Data lakehouse architecture supporting centralized, governed analytics</p> </li><li> <p>ETL and data pipeline development aligned with enterprise data standards</p> </li><li> <p>AI-enabled analytics and experimentation to augment or replace traditional dashboards</p> </li><li> <p>Source control and development practices using tools such as Git</p> </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience in business intelligence, data analysis, or analytics roles</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to work directly with business users to understand data needs and priorities</p> </li><li> <p>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills</p> </li><li> <p>Experience creating reports, dashboards, or data visualizations</p> </li><li> <p>Comfort working in a fast-moving, evolving environment</p> </li></ul> <p>Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills</p> <ul> <li> <p>Experience with AWS-based BI or data platforms</p> </li><li> <p>Hands-on experience with Power BI, QuickSight, or similar tools</p> </li><li> <p>Exposure to AI, data strategy, or advanced analytics initiatives</p> </li><li> <p>Ability to think beyond static reports toward proactive insights and automation</p> </li><li> <p>Experience working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders</p> </li><li> <p>Construction, engineering, or industrial industry exposure</p> </li></ul> <p>Our Vetting Process</p> <p>At Emergent Staffing, we work hard to find the people who are the right fit for our clients.
