<p>Bilingual Instructional Aide</p> <p>JOB STATUS: OPEN POSTING DATE: 05/02/2025 CLOSING DATE: 06/18/2025 04:00 PM POSTING NUMBER: 049449 LOCATION: Veterans Memorial Intermediate - 056 POSITION TITLE: Bilingual Instructional Aide</p> <p>JOB DESCRIPTION:</p> <p>To facilitate and assist in providing a quality program of instruction designed to meet the affective, linguistic and cognitive needs of limited English proficient students.</p> <p>DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:</p> <ul> <li>Assist bilingual teacher in providing quality dual-language instruction for limited English proficient students. </li><li>Support and carry out activities related to the bilingual program. </li><li>Perform duties involving the supervision of students. </li><li>Communicate with students, teachers, staff, and parents. </li><li>Present a positive role model for students. </li><li>Demonstrate interest and initiative in professional improvement. </li><li>Maintain a professional relationship with all colleagues, students, parents, and community members. </li><li>Regular attendance. </li><li>Other duties as assigned. </li></ul> <p>EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>Previous work with children in job-related capacity or volunteer work </li><li>Experience related to working with students or parents as approved by the employing superintendent. Experience may be work in church-related schools, day camps, youth groups, private schools, licensed day-care centers, or similar agencies or institutions </li></ul> <p>QUALIFICATIONS:</p> <p>Education/Certification:</p> <ul> <li>High School Diploma or GED </li><li>Valid Texas educational aide certificate (must obtain within 30 days of employment) </li></ul> <p>Special Knowledge/Skills:</p> <ul> <li>Fluent in Spanish </li><li>Ability to work well with others </li><li>Positive human relations skills </li><li>Appreciation of and patience with children </li><li>Excellent communication skills in Spanish and in English </li><li>Ability to follow oral and written instructions </li><li>Positive work performance regarding promptness, attendance, and productivity </li><li>Willingness to take initiative </li></ul> <p>APPLY TO:</p> <p>To apply for this position, click "login" above.
