<p>Job Description</p> <p>Description</p> <p>SAIC has an opening for a Paint Shop Technician in Indianapolis, IN.</p> <p>JOB DUTIES:</p> <ul> <li>Perform sanding, blending, shaping, cleaning, masking, and other tasking related to the preparation and completion of industrial parts for military coating finishes. </li><li>Work with basic measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers daily. </li><li>Working as a team and individually towards a common goal with clear communication efforts. </li><li>Follow standard and common shop processes to perform work tasking but also be able to 'adapt and overcome' when appropriate. </li><li>Follow ISO9000 and AS9100 standard processes and procedures. </li><li>Job tracking, data entry, and paperwork as deemed necessary. </li><li>Project scheduling and demands are fluid thus tasking may deviate when necessary. </li><li>Follow corporate and local office policies and procedures including but not limited to; daily timecard recording and Email checks. </li></ul> <p>WORK WEEK:</p> <ul> <li>Monday-Friday, 40 hour week, 8 hours per day. </li></ul> <p>Qualifications</p> <p>EDUCATION EXPERIENCE:</p> <ul> <li>HS/GED and 2 years of experience or Bachelor's degree and zero (0). </li></ul> <p>BASIC SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGMENT REQUIRMENTS:</p> <ul> <li>Previous experience performing sanding, blending, cleaning, masking, or other tasking related to the preparation and completion of industrial parts for paint finishes. </li><li>Experience as a technician working in a manufacturing/industrial/shop environment is also accepted. </li><li>Experience with measurement tools such as calipers and micrometers. </li><li>Basic computer skills are a must (Logging in, Email, Timecard entry, Job tracking, etc.). </li></ul> <p>CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT:</p> <ul> <li>U.S. citizenship required. </li><li>Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance; New Hire employee will be required to submit background information necessary for security clearance evaluation. </li></ul> <p>Overview</p> <p>SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline.</p> <p>SAIC is a premier Fortune 500 mission integrator focused on advancing the power of technology and innovation to serve and protect our world.
